quad 1200-i
Hello to all and really enjoy the forum!! Does the switch button on the front increase just the blower speed or does it increase the feed rate also?

feed rate and blower speed, I believe from what I read on the manual. I know it does on the Sante Fe and Castile. The auger turns for 4.7 sec on low, 6.1 sec on medium, and 7.9 on high according to the control box manual that I was just graciously emailed.

Yes, on my Castile insert the feed rate is linked with the burn rate, low med, high.

It sure would be nice if you could increase the blower motor speed and keep the auger on low.My father in-law has the Quad free standing and his blower motor puts out much more heat.

New stove or existing? Check all the grilles around where the conv blower is. They can get clogged up with hair and dust and restrict the air flow quite a bit.

Hey bulldog....Welcome to the forum...... my freestanding cb 1200 has a fan 'high/low' switch in addition to the 'low/med/hi' switch.... its manual says: ........

"3. Fan Speed Switch
This switch will adjust the speed of the room distribution air
fan or convection blower on all three settings. This means
you have six different blower speeds available as there is
a high and low on each setting.

........doesn't look like the 'insert' model comes with the extra 'high/low' switch.......hmmmmmmm .... cc :long:

.....I also see the blowers are a different part number..... 1200i = 812-4900 , 1200 = 812-3370 ..... even the schematic shows the 1200i with only a black and white wire coming out of it whereas the 1200 shows same but with an additional red wire (to be used with the additional 'low/hi' switch). .... they are different for sure....cc ;-)
