American Wood Fiber. Are they decent pellets?

I burnt some last season.........

Not the best, not the worst. Decent heat output, but more ash & dirt in the burnpot than others I've tried. I'd but them again if that's all that was available.

Just my .02 your mileage may vary............

For the first time ever, I've got a bad batch of Lignetics. And I mean bad. I'm actually loading them up and returning them to the store for a refund. AWF is one of my alternatives. Along with Lowe's "Clean Energy" pellets.

AWF are very decent. If there reasonable, I would at least give them a shot. Always best to try them yourself. No better judge than your stove. Grab 2 bags and toss them in.

I also heard the Clean Energy were pretty good too. Same rule is to try yourself.

Keep us posted

I just finished a ton of AWF and while they have good heat they also have more ash and they are very light in color, also they leave a film of almost like a heavy lint type material on the firebrick just above the burnpot. They do burn and they are good at heat output but as others have said try a few bags first.

I test burned a few bags, and I liked them. Not the best pellet i ever burned, but far from the worst. If they were available for a good price, I'd have no problem burning them at all.

but, as has been mentioned above, get some bags to test burn yourself.
