I'm in the 'other' category, though I only have about 2.5-3 cords of seasoned wood left. Should be enough to get me through this winter.

Same for us. This is the first winter we are going through with good reserves.

Im hoping to have reserves two winter from now.....its just hard since I have such a small lot of land, thank god for my fathers 5 acres.

I don't have an infinite supply but I have enough to get to spring. Once Feburary hits solar becomes a big part of my heating, December and January are my killer months for Wood

About four cords, I'm happy that the yard is clean from any large piles that need to be processed. Although I do enjoy splitting/stacking its nice to be caught up. I'll go easy this winter, (I cut in the winter - fish in the summer) but I need to harvest some to keep up the stock.

I have enough for just about 2 years (not including this year)...so far. I want to stay at least this far ahead.

I have 3-4 cords that need to be processed, 5-8 cords that need to be hauled to my property (and then processed), and I get me first shipment of uncut logs from the local lumber yard in April (8 cords for $650, I am splitting it with my neighbor, so it's actually 4 cords for $325).

I went with 3 months because I should have enough seasoned wood to get through winter but I have a good supply of oak and maple seasoning for next year right now. Will probably cut some birch for next season once the snow melts a little in March too. Got my eye on some beech, maple and a couple red oaks for that I'll probaby cut this spring for the winter after next.

I went with other.
I have 6-7 cords C/S/S seasoned more than 1 year. 1 cord cut, split needs stacking, and 2-3 cords in rounds needs splitting and stacking. I can always go out back and get a few dead ones to burn but I think I have enough for 2 more years at least.

2.5 cords seasoned left, possible another 2 cords if silvermaple, It should be dry but that will be shoulder season wood...

I have wood coming out my ears down here. Well, not literally, but I have probably a few seasons worth stored in my barn. I'm still cutting on a massive oak that fell on my property and I haven't even touched another one that has fallen. My house is small too, so I use very little in comparison to others.

But, as cold as it is here now, I'm going through it at the highest rate yet. I'm kinda happy about that.

Plenty+ for this year in the shed, or otherwise under roof. Plenty+ for next year split, stacked & seasoned, ready for some re-splitting and moving to the shed in the spring/summer. Plenty+ for the year after that bucked & stacked in rounds, ready for splitting & stacking in the coming year. The next wood I'll be looking for will be for the 2012-2013 burning season. All softwood, but I give it 2 years to season split & stacked out in the open before it goes into the shed. In a cold winter, we can go through 7 cords, burning in two stoves most days. Rick

Two and a quarter that will finish this season out and seven top covered and waiting their turn for the next two seasons.

And it looks like around two hundred cords in the wood yard of the wood dealer two miles down the road that I think I will be buying C/S/D from from now on. Been doing my own for thirty years and I think when the Social Security check starts in March I am going to give some of it to him and say the heck with it. I have been passing that wood yard daily for 25 years. Drooling.

Well, after I get that oak that is looking a little sickly and maybe that beech and oh yeah I forgot about those...

Disturbingly limited; clear sunny days are my saving grace..................

It's been unusually cold so far and I've been going through the good stuff (hickory, oak) faster than I had hoped. Like last year, gonna be close. Glad it's just supplemental heat.

I have enough for about 2.4167 years, give or take a day or two.

3 cord of small to medium splits and 3 cord of heavy pieces and one row of all nighter ash chunks. pete

I have 25+ real cords, all of which is processed and stacked, about half of which is ready to burn at any time. And then there's plenty of trees waiting their turn to be made into firewood.

6 real cord cut split stacked

1+ bucked up before it snowed

2+ in log length

enough to last through the winter

8 cords Stacked, 4 cords stacked on standby, woods full with about 20 trees already felled.
