Really cold here in New England. My stove is just chugging along on medium. House is a nice 72ºF. I'll bet we will use 2 bags plus today easy! We may just barely make it into the teens here today. BRRRR!

Looks like the Florida idea is out too. My inlaws phoned the other day and said there freezing there can's, Peaches, lemons, and Oranges off down there. 1st time in 20 some odd years they saw snow sleat and freezing rain there. When they called we were actually warmer here in CT. They had 25ºF and we had 27ºF. Go figure with this global warming. I wonder if the Floridians will be getting into the pellet market because of this?

How is everyone else making out with this cold snap were getting hit with? Ya all doing OK?

Stay warm

Good morning, 8 degrees here in Wis. and the pellet stove just can't keep up, furnace had had to help it. But, I am heating a 2500 s.f. 2 story drafty old farm house, so I aint complaining. the pellet stove is doing more than I had hoped for.

Low of 5 here this morning. 70-72 inside. Stove seems to burn better and cleaner on higher settings, even the Pres-to-logs seem to burn cleaner. We haven't seen freezing for about 10 days. Not getting the lake effect their getting a couple hours north, just about an inch a day. Supposed to hit 32 on Wednesday.

12 degrees here in Dutchess Count NY now, it was 1 overnight. Woke up and the upstairs was 75 in the stove room and 70 in the farthest room. I also have my Woodstove going downstairs. Downstairs feels like my home back in the Dominican Republic. Woke up and the downstairs was 84.. Both stoves definitely helps keep up.

Well it WAS keeping up until I discovered the cracked baffle this morning ... It was around 7* outside when I woke up this morning, and it is now hovering around 20*.

Started around 5 deg this morning. Now a toasty 21 deg out there. Basement stove is running med-high and keeping the 1st fl around 70. 2 plus bags easily today.

jt i like it cool but my beter half likes it warm. so i walk around the house in shorts and a tee :)

Your getting to personal now, But at least you got something on. Don't scare the neighbors please!

Yeah, My wife likes it in the 70's. I was comfy in the upper 60's. She still wears sweat shirts even in the 70's. Can't imagine what temp it takes for the bikini to come out of storage(way to hot for me I'm sure).

Beer helps me deal with the warm temps though. A good excuse anyway!

About 10f when I got up this morning. Stove is running about 3/4 and the living room and first floor are at 75f. Upstairs is around 71f.

......nice and mild today with a little light snow..... sitting at 10F presently and stove on 'Low' doing a nice job of keeping it at 72F in here.....couple of days ago it was -26F on the way to work in the morning.... brrrrrrrrrrr......when i got home, had to put the stove on 'Med' to keep up........seemed damp too..... don't like it much when it's damp...... seldom if ever kick the stove up to 'High'..... glad to know I have that buffer......... cc :)

One degree above zero this morning, 17 degrees now.

Pellet stove running in the livingroom, wood boiler ruinning in the basement. Toasty in the house.

Oh, and did I mention, in December, we replaced the 40 year old oil burner ( that was failing and leaking) with a zero start Buderus oil boiler and super insulated hot water tank.

Is there a "Heat HOG" classification??

Regards,

Ranger

No Buffer=BRRRRR! or fire up the Oil Monster if you got one(I don't so I got buffer and then some. Made really really sure this time around! Omega= :) ).

Has warmed up to about 20 °F since the sun came back out.
Nice and toasty in the house. 73 °F throughout.
XXV running on medium, Advance is down for cleaning.

Never checked the outside temp last night or this morning for that matter.
Set stove on #2 last night, woke to a 72F degree house. Have it on #3 now
@ 76F degrees. My house is only 1400 sq. ft so this stove holds it's own
very well even with the coldest New England temps.

Had -7 here last night..good thing there was no wind.
Ran the stove on 2 last night and woke up to 64 in the house.
Up to 21 outside now and staying toasty at 70.

Chris

Woke up this morning to 3 degrees. We had turned the thermostat down to 65 (Pellet thermostat) and it was just that in the house. I cleaned the burn pot around noon, loaded up some Cubex and headed into the woods for a long walk with the dogs. Came home to the house at 75. It felt real good after the walk. I would feel better if the Pats showed up to the game today!

Oh well, there's always next year!

Chan

Was 1 degree not including the little bit of wind this AM. Turned stove down to 72 last night (oops) dropped the other side a little low (67) so it took longer to recover. Back to normal 73 throughout the house.

LOVE the stove and the southern Inlaws couldn't get used to 67 in the house so this makes it comfortable for all

STAY WARM
