hello everyone, For the last couple of weeks our stove has been building up ash on the right side of the burn pot. It never used to do this. It gets so bad it deflects the flame to one side. The build up is soft ash that falls apart when I pull it with the scraping tool ( not a hard clinker) The stove has been cleaned completely( burn pot scraped, holes open, igniter cavity vacuumed, ESP cleaned, etc) but it still does it. I am using the same pellets ( okanagans) and the stove settings when the pics were took are stove temp mode- feed adjuster dial at 4, temp dial at 3 1/2 with the fan on med. No OAK
Any thoughts you can give on why it might be doing this would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
JB
Hope the pics are clear enough to see what I am preferring to

my p43 does the same thing with or w/o the oak so rule that out........i use stove mode and even when i turn it up to 5 it does the same, i just clear it away when it starts to affect the burn

Same thing with our P61

Yup, same with our P61A. Don't know why it does it but it never really affects the heat. When it gets to be alot I scrape it out.

Our P61 collects ash along the edges (like in your photos). I just knock it off every time I fill the stove.

Cheers

And even when the entire burnpot is full of ash and going over the edge, there are holes in the ash created by
the air pulling through... like swiss cheese.

Does it have to do with the spin of the earth like a toilet? Anyone know a guy in the southern himisphere with a Harman? Wonder if his ash pile is on the opposite side?

all kidding aside I Wonder if it has to do with the direction the feed auger turns?
Maybe you just started noticing in the last few weeks becuase of the colder weather and higher burn rate?

Thats a good one:)- and ya, your probably right. I have had the stove turned up the last few weeks. It never happened this fall when I was running the stove at a lower rate.
Thanks

My NPS40 gets the build up on the left side... It does only seem to happen when I run it at a high feed rate.
