Isn't it so very nice to be burning affordable pellets?

Picked up a 1/2 Ton of Cleanfire Pellets off Craigslist for $72.00. Average ash and soot but seem to be putting out very good heat.

I'm burning Cleanfires right now which are leftover from last year and their nice and hot!!! See ya Mr. Oil Man!!!

nice catch! We'll burn anything if its cheap enough!

I'm burning Cleanfire's right now too. Seem to be a good pellet, good flame, good heat, ok ash...but holy crap on the dusty side and like a cup of dust in the bottom of the bag. Are yours this dusty too?

I'd say maybe a 1/2 cup of dust; not too bad...I like the Cleanfires...seem to be a good economical pellet..I have 2 tons of LGs as well... Pretty happy with those too..Besides, anything that doesn't use a barrel of oil is OK with me!!

Nice deal for sure. I'm burning Cleanfire pellets in my garage from three
seasons ago. My stove def likes them.

I would need to get to about 150.00 per ton to break even with the price of NG. I don't see that happening around here anytime soon. I still run the stove but not nearly as much as last year when I was using propane. I switched to NG this past year and have been extremely happy that I did. Have not been following heating oil prices but NG has been at 6 year lows!

OUCH...I think it left a mark!! Just paid $2.959/gallon for oil today. :ahhh:

On the positive side though, my oil guy sells pellets and said he is getting some "softwoods from Colorado in" soon. And atm, he sells O'Malleys for $274/ton delivered. I said good, next time bring the pellet truck not the oil truck.

I can not wait for our stove to be installed next week!!!!

Remember jan99, we need to see pics, or it really didn't happen (burning pics are so much "warmer", too). :)

Great Deal!
Lowest price near us is $235/ton. Not sure what brand. He does sell Corinth and Okanagan.
Oil prices of $4.50/gal (Summer of 2008) pushed us into finding something else.

Well, I'm sitting hear at a toasty 74 with a cold PBR and some jazz on the stereo.
It is 17 out and OPEC can kiss my pellet stove!!

where in maine? I am looking to get some oakies.

There is a dealer in Rumford Center and one in East Dixfield. The one in Dixfield has the $235/ton sign out. I do not know if that is the price for Oakies.

Yup,
I usually go for Coors Light. Do not care for the "Bitter" beers. Is this off the subject??

Beer off subject, Ahhh-NEVER! About the only thing I can think of better than pellet hunting. Well there is another but I will not got there.

Since 1st year burning and fine tuning the heat distribution, I pre-paid HHO at 2.04 with the 500 gal minimum. I also use the furnace for hot water.

So far on the auto delivery

10/24-12/10: 45 Gal delivered
12/10-1/5: 41 Gal delivered (this included a cold snap around 0-10 deg and windchils -15)

OPEC can kiss my ....... :cheese:

I love how when the price of oil per barrel goes up then the price at the pump goes up over night. When the price of oil per barrell goes down though it usually takes a few days or even weeks for us to see a break at the pump. Arghhh!

Any idea if you can make a pellet engine for my car? LOL!

Gasification........ No joke your car could run off of pellets. Maybe Power a steam engine.

Jay,

You are heading for trouble trying to be a Bear, trust me I know, there's hunting season, trapping season, and vicious packs of hounds to contend with.

I firmly subscribe to the following http://www.greatlostbear.com/sticker.html .

Hoverfly,

I'd be easier to roll a Stanley Steamer owner and make off with his pride and joy. Pellets should work in that puppy.
