I bought 10 bags of these at Lowes. Anybody used them and if so, how do they compare? I thought they might be Pennington's but I don't think so as they say they are from Premium Pellet Corporation, Montreal Quebec. It says they are a product of Canada.

Natures Heat is made by Pennington. Natures Own is an energex hardwood pellet. I have heard good reviews on these.

I think I maybe getting some of these to test with. Can you post a photo of the bag for reference?

I thought Energex Ca. was making the softwoods?

thanks

I haven't burned any of these yet but when I do I will post my take on them. Has anybody out there burned any?

I burned them last year. They seemed to burn pretty hot. It was my first year burning. This year I am burning NEWP and the seem to have less ash, and my glass stays cleaner, but I get clinkers in my burn pot when I run it on high. This did not happen with the Natures Own.

I just bought some of these and I really did not care for how they burn. On my stove, Enviro Mini, I have heat settings 1-5, all winter, I have been using 2 or 3 with some O'malley pellets that I started the year with. They burnt pretty well, then I tried some AWF's and they burnt a little hotter than O'malley, but a little faster. When I tried Natures Own, my stove would not even stay burning on setting 1 or 2, but would work on 3 or 4. I had to set it to 4 to get the same heat I had on the other pellets on on 3, they seem to burn very slow and made the glass really dirty. I did not care for these at all, I think I am going to return my remaining bags to Lowes. The pellets are really dark brown, I think that means they have alot of bark? Also, there was alot of 2" pellets in the 3 bags that I burned. I would like to hear what others have thought on these pellets. Thanks.
