I found them to be VERY dusty, burned dirtier than most and didn't burn super hot. You're running a furnace so maybe the dust and dirty burn is not to big of a deal for you. $218 is a pretty good price though. Probably worth it for that price.

Everyone's stove set-up will give different results, but in general, what BTU said above is accurate...a middle of the road pellet, although there have been a few forum members who didn't like them at all.

In the future, buy 3-4 bags of a pellet you're thinking of buying, and do some test burning. What other pellets did HD have?

Picked up a few bags

Lots of ash
plenty of fines - the bags were from an opened pallet to handling may have something to do with it
Decent heat

Still have one bag sitting on the pile but the Presto Logs seem to be the choice if you can find them at HD

i burnt about 3/4 of a ton of them.i was buying them by the bag at H.D. in Bennington Vt.what i found was that they weren't to consistent.one bag would burn ok and the next would'nt.i was constantly tinking around with the settings.i've got a few bags left that i'm saving for when i don't need a lot of heat.

Just threw 4 bags into the furnace a couple of hours ago. Son has the same furnace (Harman pf100)
and he said they burn great, very little to no ash.
I traded with him, and gave him Greene Team. I find they are terrible, have a tremendous amout of
ash, but have to say, they are hot and no fines. Have to clean the hopper daily. No reason for that!!
When I opened up the Bayou and poured them into the hopper, I started choking from all the dust.

i just went through a ton. my house is 73 degrees. middle of the road pellet but for the price not a bad deal.

well i have gone through about 4 bags def dont seem to be the best for heat output but not to bad. this is my first year burning pellets, but i have a pellet furnace so some of the issues dont affect me much. i burned through a ton of freedom fuel already also from home depot which i bought in sept for $239. i will def buy a few bags in advance next time or check her for some reviews

My first post here, Imo they are the worst pellets I've found simply bc they are so dusty. You seriously need a dust mask when loading your hopper. The comment about the way they leave crusty chunks in your burn pot is true too....

just picked up a few bags of somerset premium from lowes, what a difference! They burn hot, no dust and fine ash

.

I'm also in western PA. you will find HD, Lowes at 4.36 a bag 218 a ton for Eureka premuim , Freedom Fuel 2 (made by eureka
I feel these are either rejects from premium or rebagged industrial pellets), Penningtons, natures choice, bayou etc.

All are middle of the road pellets but Eureka premium and pennington seem the best of the bunch.
