Too bad they are too far from me. I don't have room to store more than a ton inside right
now but if I found a sale like that locally, I would be all over those Dragons for that price with delivery.
I am sure I could bribe my neighbor to let me store em in their garage bay till spring if I had to ;-)

BTU you watchin?

If that price comes up locally with free delivery....I'm calling BTU to find out if a drop trailer program is available to residential folks.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but has anyone actually contacted them to confirm that the prices include "free delivery"? It doesn't actually say that.

Based on the per bag price listed, it's more expensive to pick them up yourself.

hmmmmmmm :long:

If I understand it correctly, it is free delivery if someone is in the listed towns. It would be a good idea
for a buyer to confirm anyhow.

Oooops :red: ...yep, didn't see that glosta. But it IS limited to certain areas.........great deal if you live there.

Don't wish I lived in Vermont but I wish SSWP which is
practically in my backyard would have a sale like that.

Thanks so much for posting this information. I will call them shortly. Northern Vermonters have never had much of a choice of pellets at any price, and I have been wanting to try other brands for some time. If I had the room, I would buy all of my pellets for next year at that price.

I live in Waterville, and up to now I thought Vermont Pellet out of Colchester was the only place that would deliver. The only problem with VT WP is that they only offer a couple of pellet choices - this year it is LGs and Maine Wood Pellets. Last year they only had Boreal to offer, and that was a terrible pellet. The best thing about VT WP is that they not only deliver, they hand stack them where ever you want, and that can be worth a lot. I am going to try the Co-Op and just ordered two 70 bag skids of Okenagans, and we will see how well I hold up after stacking all of those bags.

If I am not mistaken, The Surefire's are a Doug fir pellet. $249/ ton is insanely low for a fir pellet. Best deal I can find around me is $325/ton. I would take the trip to Vermont for that deal! Anyone try the Surefire's? I would love to test a few bags of them! I am sure they will give the Cubex a run for the hottest pellet I have tested so far.

I would (not knowing the area or the company), simply keep in mind that this IS craigslist. Not neccessesarily a bad thing, but still, caveat your emptor

Sorry to bust your bubble Jay, but the SureFire pellet is a Western Canadian, northern Alberta pellet that is made from SPF. I think you are mistaken it for our Clean Burn fir pellet which is a 100% Douglas Fir pellet...but not available in NE.... :smirk:

Burst my Bubble! Shucks! dagnabit! GRRRR! Well one can only hope(or dream) we will see a fir pellet in NE that will dewheel the hardwoods. About the only softwood pellet that will produce the heat to mess with the Oak pellet. SPF can run with the hardwood blends but falls a little shy with the high heat oak. JMHO You really want to convert the yankee headed hardwood boys? Give them a stove melting fir pellet and watch how fast the knock your doors down. Thats was what opened my eyes. 1st ponderosa, Then a fir pellet ice the deal. I will choose the softwoods 1st as long as I can afford them. Ya I know the dollar factor will smother my plans to rule the pellet world with my fir pellets. I sure would love to put a few bags in my hopper to show the members how hot they really are!

No problem Jay...you find some friends that want to bring in a load for 22 tons and I will ship something out that way....it will only cost about $325-$350 per ton ....but if you can round up all your new best friends..I will find a dealer to complete the transaction for you....Do you think the price has anything to do with not to many loads being shipped back there each year??.. We have one client in up State NY and another on Long Island that get 1 truck in each year (and think they have it pre-sold)....but that is about it .. :cheese:

BTU, You know this group. Kind like stove pictures you have to prove it. I would need to get a hold of some and do my test burn. The results may turn a few heads after that. I'll keep digging! I'll find some somewhere to test. But even if I did and the heat was awesome. There isn't many people that will drop that kind of coin on a ton of pellets.

Looks like the only way we could get an affordable fir pellet is if a manufacture in the NE area was to produce it. Or there was 100,000 tons shipped from BC.

We have Currans @ 453$ US a pallet here. Does anybody know what they are selling for in massena? I'm sure we are getting the shaft up here. The local TSC store is selling Okies for 6.99 Can. That converts to 6.73$ US a bag. What's the deal here?
