Does anyone know where to buy a laddomatt 21 in the United States? I have one in my system and have a friend who is getting ready for a tank install. Everyone wants to sell him a danfoss valve, but we would rather have a laddomatt 21. Mine came from Kotly, but the rumor is they don't sell to USA anymore.

What Webie said. Thats where I bought mine from. What BTU output is your friends boiler? The Lado is maxed out at about a 110,000 btu. Beyond this you will need to use an ESBE(as you have been advised) or a Termovar loading unit(hold on to your wallet). My Lado 21G(Grundfoss) works perfectly with my 109,000 btu boiler. Different boilers are capable of firing at different rates so it is possible your boiler exceeds the 110 & still works well. I know my Lado is on the ragged edge if I fire the boiler hard(past it's rating). Good luck, Randy

He has contacted New Horizon and they are not carrying them. They wanted to sell him a danfoss valve.

Then he will need to buy a Termovar loading unit for about $600.00 + shipping. Danfoss also makes a loading unit, I don't know if they are available in the USA though. The Termovar is a quality unit from what I have read & will handle a bigger boiler than the Lado, Randy, Hayrack, I didn't see your signature, that you are running a 40 & the Lado is working for you. Zenon had trouble with the Lado on 40's & advised customers to take out the check valve to prevent overheating, Randy

Those of you with Laddomats, are you running them on 240V or did they come with 120V circulators for the N. American market?

If 240V, are you using a transformer for the loading unit circulator itself or does your whole boiler control panel run off 240V?

Dave; My boiler runs off a 220v transformer & the lado is controlled by a thermostat/boiler control panel. I am glad my Lado pump is running fast with 60hz that gives it some extra push, it has a 50hz 240v motor. My boiler is designed & wired for operating a Laddomatt 21 & comes with a wiring harness to connect it, Randy

My laddo is wired for 240 also and run off the eko controller. Singed, I have had very good luck with my Laddo and this is why my friend is looking for one instead of the Danfoss. I keep my pump on the lowest speed and I never have any overheat issues.

Hayrack; I'm shocked!! You must be firing very carefully. I can't even run mine on the 2nd setting with a 32 boiler. They are great units, I suppose there might be a parts problem now, Randy

Randy, When I get a fire going I load it to the gills and let her rip! I never have overheat or pressure issues.

Hey Randy, I did let Zenon talk me out of the Laddo, mostly because he doesn't have them. I did get a cooling loop valve from him. But do you know what wires inside the hood I'm supposed to use to run the pump? I can follow most of the manual, but the wiring and what the labels on the wires are supposed to mean isn't so clear to me. Hoping you have insight on that.
I've lost track here. I think you had the 32S, maybe you would add that to your signature? My boiler came with a wiring harness that plugged into the back left side. The other end went to the Lado. I;m assuming you are going to use an ESBE & separate pump. Did you get 2 power cords with your boiler? They aren't labeled well, they can be decifered though. One is Lado the other 230v input power. Make sure when you install this though that you lay under the boiler to 10mm as instructed in the manual, lol. You want to put 10mm shims that raise the back of the boiler so that air doesn't get trapped. The cooling loop is hooked uo to city water pressure. I'm no electrician so if you didn't get a Lado power cord I wouldn't be of much help, Randy

I already tried CT greenheat and they are not carrying them either. I paid about $329 from Kotly last Spring when I got my boiler from them. I guess I should have bought a dozen of them.

Hayrack; Zenon was $380 when I purchased from him & at this same time Kotly was about $480 + shipping from Poland. When I bought my boiler Kotly would have put one in it for about $275 with no added shipping cost. I had run out of money though & couldn't afford it. Someone had mentioned that Kotly will still ship if you sweet talk them & pay a bunch of shipping. Maybe a Spring group purchase to save shipping cost? I'd like a bunch of Atmos spares & Laddomat spare parts(thermostats, gaskets that are probably Viton, motor, thermometers etc.) Lightweight Lado parts can also be shipped from the UK for little shipping money. Prices are not cheap however there for items. One Uk dealer charges $613.00 for a Lado 21 & then you would pay shipping on top of that, Randy

Hayrack; Do you have a Wilo Star pump on your Lado? I'm still trying to figure out how you can run on the first setting. I have the 21G with the Grundfoss pump & maybe the motor speed & impeller isn't the same as yours, Randy

Randy, I have the grundfos pump on my Laddo. Looks like we may have located a couple of laddomats. I paid $329 for mine from Kotly when I bought my boiler. A group order sounds good if we can make it happen. When I got my boiler from Kotly I jumped off the cliff with someone I hooked up with here on hearth that lived a couple hrs from me. I was very happy with Kotly. The whole thing went very smooth. The only problem we had was our boilers got inpected by customs and the coast guard which added some $ to the total, but it was not a lot.

Hayrack; Kotly was great to deal with. I know it was a leap of faith for me too. As it turns out they, Kotly/Tomasz, are very honest. My boiler was also pulled for "intense inspection" ,read, train the new dogs. My customs broker out of Chicago was great. I'll email in spring when I "get my money together", Randy

Minor not in dealing with England and possibly some of the other EU countries... It is worth keeping in mind that most prices you see posted in England include their VAT tax, which is roughly equivalent to our sales tax, but a much bigger bite - something like 21% as I recall... If they are shipping outside the EU the VAT tax doesn't apply and you save a bundle...

I had to get some new riding goggles a while back, and I like the WW1 RAF style that is made by an English company using the same pattern as they did in the original... My local optometrist figured out a way to fit them with prescription lenses for me, so all I needed was the frames. Going to the US dealers, the best price I could find was around $150... I called the English manufacturer, and ended up getting a custom set of frames with shipping, for well under $100, from the US it would have been closer to $200 for the same thing plus a pair of lenses I didn't need...

So it can be worth spending the bit extra to call the folks in England (they even think they speak English :) ) as what you see on the websites is NOT what you'll pay to get it in the US...
