I wanted to thank everyone for their assistance. My Integra II was repaired - it was the motherboard that caused random shutdowns, smokeouts, etc. and the stove has performed flawlessly with the new motherboard.... (the stove was randomly shutting down when the technician arrived the second time).

The technician informed my wife that I had caused the motherboard to fail by opening the stove door to stirr the burnpot (at most every other day between shutdowns).

Does that make sense to anyone?

Oh well.... its fixed.

Was this repaired under warranty?

And no, opening the door to scrape the burn pot should have nothing to do w/ the control board, AFAIK.

X2.
I have had 3 different brands of stoves and have done it will all of them. Never had an issue with any of them.

I think it would have something in the manual if there was.

That is totaly wrong I open mine every day and spoon out the donut, your board was bad before that or you had a power surge.

I had a board go on me frome that while the stove was being cleaned, the stove was off, but not unpluged.

The Board was replaced under warranty, stove shop did not charge for return trip, but I paid $95 for the initial visit.

Here is what the manual states about opening the door while burning "OPERATING YOUR STOVE WITH THE
DOOR OPEN CAN CAUSE IT TO NOT OPERATE EFFICIENTLY, CAN CAUSE SMOKE DETECTORS TO ACTIVATE, CAN
ALLOW SMOKE TO ENTER INTO THE LIVING AREAS OF YOUR HOME, CAN CAUSE BREATHING PROBLEMS, AND
CAN LEAD TO A HOUSE FIRE."

No-where does it state that opening the door will burn out the motherboard.. Regardless, the service tech told my wife I broke the stove..

Yes, there is a surge suppressor.

Thanks.

And people on the forum wonder why service techs get a bad rep....when they don't know what's wrong or why, just blame the owner....it's GOTTA be their fault!
