I have burned both and did not see any difference! They are a very consistent product. Some have noticed a bit more dust, But thats about all I heard so far.

Jtakeman: Thats good to know. Then the $219 for a ton I paid last week looks like a good deal. The way Im reading the Squires site it looks like they went up from $219-$ to $239 a ton.I swear the way I looked at the site last night said $239 for 1.3 tons. I need stronger glasses.

Just went to Squires website now price is down for 1.3 ton pallets!

Okanagan Softwood Super Premium 1.3 tons per pallet (65 bags) In Stock $ 239.00

Are you sure the price didn't go UP from $219 per TON to $239 per TON? $239 for 1.3 tons seems too good to be true. In any event I'm headed back there tomorrow to pick up the remaining supply I ordered last week and I'll find out for sure. Might be explaining to SWMBO that we need to make MORE room in the basement. ;-)

No, Pellet-King is correct. The Squiers website states 1.3 tons of okies for $239 (= $184/ton)

Actually it states that there are 65 bags per pallet (1.3 tons)...but the price is now $239 per ton...which is $310.70 per pallet....

Yup! Confirmed with them this morning that it is in fact $239 PER TON. A slight increase in price, but still a pretty good deal.

$239 is still a heck of a deal, But $219 was a steal! I hope these deals migrate my way and continue into the spring early buy deals.

The way they have the price listed on their website is misleading.

First they state that they sell them in 1.3 ton pallets, but then state a price of $239/ton. I mis-read it too.

A more honest way to display the price would have been $239/ton or $310.70/1.3 ton

Hey guys :If you are still want to buy Okanagans at Squires at the old price, shoot them an Email,I did and they will honor the 1.3 ton@ $284.00 price. Maybe its because I just bought a ton last week @219.00 but start tapping your keyboard cause they said it was for this week only!!!

Ok: Sorry guys, but how do you get that blue background

Greg

Greg, when you quote someone in another post, you'll see the word "quote" in brackets at the end of theirs. You have to leave that there, and then type your message AFTER that.

Told me the same thing few days ago if i go there by saturday will honor the $219 price, they said the reason of the higher price was they got a new shipment, so maybe there the newer all white bag pellets...anyone confirm?

Bought some last week at $219 a ton and bought some more today at $239(still a good price) and it's the same bag. Clear on back and white on front.
I used LG since October and the Okies were a little better and certainly a lot cheaper than the LG's I bought last Spring. The Okies had more fines, in the bag, than the LG'S, but I sift all my pellets so that doesn't matter to me.

When I got mine a week ago the salesman said that they had over 100 ton of the old stock, and that it was the end of the season for pellet ordering.I doubt if I'll get new stock.Still beats paying $265,$270 a ton in CT

Ahhhhh.... When I went Saturday they told me the price increase was due to the additional handling of the "damaged" pallets having to un-stack, sort, and re-stack. They didn't offer me the $219 price, nor did I ask for it. Saturday and Sunday they were still selling the clear packaged pellets at $239 a ton.

As of 2 weeks ago they said they had 120 tons, i believe they raised the price due to increased sales due to this website!, i'm going up sat morn for $219 as they emailed me honoring the price, if they have some left by there april sale they will sell them dirt cheap, nobody...but maybe me will buy over 2 yr old pellets.

Pellet King:I agree,I think they did bump up the price because of all the action on this site!.I just picked up a 1.3 skid yesterday and the lady at the counter said that she showed 8000 bags on hand. This is still old stock ,my bags were clear with the white front. If anybody is going to pick more up I would still try sending them an email to try and get the lower price cant hurt.
