Ordered an Englander 25-EP this week from HD online. Just wondering if anyone ever ordered their pellet stove from here and how does the delivery take place. The price was right for me, so this is why I went this way. They don't have the option for a in store pickup and the website is very vague on delivery methods. Just trying to prepare myself if I have to unload a 250lb stove out of a 18 wheeler.
Working on my Stove pad now, and heading to see Eric at Kinsman stove this weekend for the piping and pellets.. Will have pics up as soon as I get everything set up.

Hattrick, I'd shoot Mike Holton at Englander a PM or email and ask him about how the stoves get shipped. It's possible that they're drop-shipped direct from Englander, although I guess it's possible HD keeps them in a warehouse somewhere.

BTW, when you see Eric, tell him MacMan says Hi, and give his dog Pellet a scratch behind the ear for me. :)

I've ordered a few things delivered from Home Depot and had two different delivery methods. "In stock" type construction material is delivered via 18 wheeler with a fork lift attached to the back. Unloaded and set what I ordered exactly where I wanted it. An appliance I ordered through them was delivered by what looked like a sub contracting company in a plain white box truck. Appliance was delivered into the house via hand cart by two burly guys and set in place. Not sure if a pellet stove qualifies as an "appliance" but I'm almost betting on the box truck delivery with placement in your house near where it neads to be. I doubt it includes any sort of permits and/or installation.

Well, HD called and gave me tracking information on the package. A company called Non Stop Delivery http://www.nonstopdelivery.com/ will be doing what they call a Threshold delivery. So it appears they will bring it in and set it right down on the hearth. Looks like I may have it sometime next week.

MacMan.. It would be my pleasure to give ol pellet a pat on the head for you..

Hattrick, I may be wrong but I do believe a threshhold delivery is just inside the door, or garage. They wont go further than that.

I think your right Jack, but the often used $5 "tip" often makes things go where you want them. ;-)

Hopefully they get it where you want it, I almost had a bad situation when I had my Englander delivered that I bought from Ace Hardware online. The guy came in a 18 wheeler, no lift gate, no fork truck. Luckily I have a Ford Ranger that was just about the right height. I was able to put the stove in my ranger, drive it up the hill to my front door, and then I had to set up a ramp to get it inside. Luckily my neighbor and I were able to lift it and get it inside, my bad hurt for 2 weeks but the stove keeps me nice and warm.

 Yep, with enough of that, the delivery guy will install it, plug it in, and fill the hopper too.

Well it finally came. NonStop Delivery had great service. They unpacked it from the box and pallet and carried into the house all the way to the hearth pad. Even offered a beer and they refused. Go figure. Had a few minor scratches on the top hopper cover from the box rubbing etc, but it looks great. Installing it this weekend. Hopefully beat this snow we are going to get in NE ohio.

If you need to do touch up work on the paint, Rust-Oleum High Heat Specialty Grill Paint is the exact color as Englander black. I painted my hopper extension with it and it matches perfectly. Sold at Lowes, etc.

Great to hear that Hattrick. We'll be waiting for the pics of the install & burning so we know it really happened! :)

After digging out of 18 inches of snow around here, I finally had time to get the pictures up. I have to say that I'm impressed so far. Its is 10 degrees outside, and my downstairs 1st floor is a comfortable 72 degrees. Second floor about 65.

Looks great Hattrick! Hope you got it installed in time to sit and watch the snow fly. Enjoy the heat!

Oh, BTW, don't forget a surge suppressor if you don't have one yet.
