well i have only burnt like 3 times in my stove and the outside of the glass has got some kind of film on it even windex wont take off, elbow grease wont even get this crap off of it, sorta upset about it

Sounds like something got against the glass while it was hot & melted there.

Try a single edge razor blade on the glass when the stove is cool.........take your time as to not scratch the glass & I bet the residue will come off. Same thing happened to my stove when filling it & bumped the plastic bag of pellets against the glass for a second.

Came right off with the razor blade tho............

FWIW the only time I ever NEEDED to use cleaner was a result of burning on lower settings for a prolonged period of time.

As I understand it, the issue is not the glass but the carbon gasket. I cleaned my stove with windex and had to replace the gasket after two years. PIA ! It was recommended that just a damp paper towel when the glass is cool will do the trick. I do this about twice a month, FWIW.
