I have gone through 8 full cords thus far. It's a bit more than I planned on but I burn 1 stove 24/7 and the other almost as much. I have 4 cords of 12 month seasoned maple and black walnut and about 1/2 a cord of 2 year split red oak(still doesn't burn that great). How's everybody else holding up?

Burned 4 Cord
16 cord left (7 cord seasoned)

Used a little over 1 1/2 cord. Been a crazy winter. Every day in January was above average temp(Lake Woebegone for real) and only 2nd time ever that not a day with frost. Sunny and heading toward mid 50's today. I think I would have gone thru about 3 cords in a normal winter, so my 14 cords in reserve will just have to wait until next winter - and the next and...well, u get the idea. :coolcheese:

Holy Toledo! 8 cords already?! Or is this perhaps face cords?

We've gone through maybe 2 cords at most but I have not kept exact track this year. The last two winters we went through 3 cords each year. Even though last year was much colder than the year before, our amount stayed the same.

We still have enough wood on hand for probably 6 or 7 years.

Nope true cords. I heat 4850 sq. With an Oslo and a Castine (or try to). I have probably burned 1/2 a cord in the barrel stove in the barn and the kids have burned a little bit in their cabin back in the woods.(that always chaps my ass a bit)

Well, that is a pretty fair sized box to heat! lol

Hey, let those kids have fun. Just cut more wood. lol

I have burned 4 face cord and have 32 face cord waiting. I heat 24/7, but only 1280 sq, feet. I think 3 more face cord should get me thru. I lit the pilot light and ran the furnace back in sept. to make sure it runs. That was it. I have burned 200 gals of propane since may. For hot water heater and cook stove.

I'm at about 5 full cords, with 5 more left.

3-4 cord burned since early October. 10-11 cord dry in the shed, 6 or 7 in the heap. Looks like the new stove is going to save me 2-3 cord this year.

I have burned about 3 cords 2 cords left. Spring and summer will be great time to scrounge wood. There are alot of mature trees on my street and year after year i see DPW hawl branches away.. Not this year. I love my VERY LOW GAS BILL THIS YEAR. THANKS hearth.com

2 cords up in smoke; 2 cords seasoned left; 2.5 cords green stacked up for next year.
We're only partially heating our 1600 sq ft. The hot water radiators come on at least every morning, but usually not running in the afternoon/evening.

I have around 2 cords per year to burn and at this time i would say half is gone.

Coming up on 2 cords of Oak/Locust so far and right on schedule to burn 3 cords for the whole season just like the last 3 years. (1800 sq ft ranch)

I've burned 3. Maybe 3 1/2 cords. Everything I don't burn needs to be moved 7 miles to my new place, so I'm not being stingy
with what's left (about ten cords).

I've gone through about 2.5 cords and have about 3/4 cord left of seasoned. It's going to be a squeaker this year.

I have 1.5 cord that i was hoping i could burn... I cut and split from standing dead Ash and Maple in early January, but the splits are still too high in moisture content (sizzle in the fire). I've been throwing in some of the less seasoned Ash with my seasoned wood to try and extend the wood pile for this season. The smoke dragon ate up quite a bit of wood before we got the new stove!

not quite 2 cord yet heating 2250 24/7 and only a couple of mornings has the furnace had to be turned on, when its 15 or lower in the morning the 2nd floor needs a little help. Just long enough to get it to 68 then we shut er down and the stove handles it fine. My goodness we love this thing, my neighbors are in the 3-400. a month bills and keeping they're houses 65 all the time or colder. I'm in shorts only, most nights and the girls have not complained once about being chilly!! 75 down and 65 up most of the time.

3000 pounds (1.5 pallets) of "EcoBrix" fuel so far, and perhaps a about 1/3 cord of dry mixed cordwood, and about 4 boxes of "envirologs". 2 to 3 reloads per day for 24x7 operation. Got less than a quarter cord left, and another 1.5 pallets of brix in the garage. Oh, and 98 SuperCedars - I took advantage of the sale just recently. Those rock.

Burned 1 3/4 cords and have 2 1/4 left dry, another 3 cords waiting for next year.

Don't know how much I've burned, but I always liked the old saying "Come end of January have half your wood and half your hay, you'll make it through to spring OK"

Burned a cord and a third of hardwood and back in Oct. and some of November maybe a half cord of pine. A cord and two thirds of hardwood left but some of it is extremely dry old red oak so I may have to tap the front end of next years stack before it is all over.

Seven cord are in waiting for the next two seasons.

Burned? None - no stove installed yet. How much left? All of it!

Warmer than average winter here. Have burned maybe 1 1/2 cords so far of mixed hardwoods.

colder the usually here but i burned 2.5 and 3 left and 2 cords split for next yr with a ton just bucked.

Sounds about right for what I have in one half of my shed earmarked to burn this Winter. Looking like a 4 cord Winter. There's 7 cord in the other half of the shed and 5 cord stacked outside. Took this Winter off from processing firewood but will be back on for another 12 cord next Winter if I'm still around.
