I have burned a third of a cord of softwood (blue spruce) and a little over a cord of mixed hardwood (beech, white birch and maple). Not bad considering I heat 2550 square feet.

Feeding the stove 24/7 sure eats the wood though...

Still have 2 cords of mixed hardwood left. Already have 2 cords of softwood cut/split and 4 cords of pure rock maple cut (needs to be split). hopefully it will be ready for next winter. Otherwise, I will buy some more from someone who has it bone dry!

Two cords burned and about 2-3 left plus one cord for next year. Most of the replies on the thread didn't mention if they burned 24/7 or not which I do. Upstairs is about 1500 sq.ft.

Used just under 3 cord so far. Have just about 3 left for this winter. I hope to use only 2 more cord by the end of May. 5 more ready for next winter, and 5 more for the following. Will be working on the wood for winter of 2012-13 this year, maybe 2013-14 too, and will finally be ahead of the wood drying curve.

Probably nearing 1 to 1-1/2 cord burned with 2 to 2-1/2 still stacked up. Been a really mixed up year here. Had all my junk wood up by the house for shoulder season, then we got dumped by massive snow and bitter cold. About the time I was able to dig out and get some hedge up to the house, the temps moderated close to 'normal'. Even had one night where the weather forecast got away from me. I went to bed at ~30F outside and stoked the stove thinking it may get down to 20 or lower, but it actually went UP to ~46F by morning. I woke up to the house at 78!

We've had a real mild winter here. I've gone through about one and a half cords with two and a half left. Thats heating 1800 sq. ft. with wood only.

3 full cord down. 1 less than last year at this time. some milder temps and better burn techniques. house has been warmer too. thanks hearth.com!

3 cord down and maybe 1.5-2 cord earmarked for this year left. Have another 1.5 cord if I need it.

4.5 cords so far,Reminds me that I have to clean my chimney soon!

Funny you say that cause I just did mine last weekend. Amazingly it had very little in it. If I had a cup of ash that was a lot!

After this week I'll be through about 2 2/3 cords. I haven't kept great track but I think it's around there. I have about a cord of decent wood left so I may be done after I get through that. I have 11 cords seasoning but they're not ready for this season.

Weekend only burner here. We have been though about a cord so far, 1/2 cord of marginal left, and 2 more split/stacked for next year.

Got to start looking for 11/12 wood soon now that this years supply has cleared out some space...

burned 5 .1/3 cord here and about 1.5 of seasoned wood left .
Ive started burning framing scraps and pallets .
28 cord left but not seasoned enough .

Burned something north of 5 cords, have about 25 remaining. Hrating 2000 sq ft, 24/7 using just that nasty ol pine of one species or another...Lodge Pole, Red Fir, Tammarack.

2.5 cords so far, heating half of a 2000sqft ranch. We have been burning 24/7 since about early November. We have over 6 cords left. We should be able to finish this season by using another 2.5 cords or less, maybe, I can never tell when we will stop burning.
Burning mostly ash, and some oak and hickory when the temperature gets to the single digits.

I have burned a little less than 2 cords. And I have about 3 cords left.

I have burned around 3.5 cords so far this year. I have several years worth of wood in various stages of seasoning.

I burn an insert (Lopi Freedom) and I never expected to survive on wood alone; I expect to drop my gas bills by 50% and enjoy the work of wood-keeping. By fall 2009, I had 5 cords of wood ready, some of it wonderfully aged and some of it not, but anticipated to be "ahead of the game" by a year or two, if I burn 2 1/2 cords a year.

So far, I'm down 2 1/2 cords already, and its only Feb 1 !!! I might go through 3 1/2 - 4 cords before spring, which means I need to scrounge big-time this summer or make arrangements to purchase for the next winter, since I'll only have 1-2 cords left.

More work to be done.......

Been burning right around mid. Oct. went through about 2.5-3 cords burning 24/7. Got no worries about running out seasoned wood in shed 16'x16' roof 8'x14' I figured about 16 cords of wood there. In two seperate piles roughly 7 cords but that is not covered and as snow on all of it. Still lovin the stove now three years old!! Will probably haul 8-10 cords this summer for more stock pile if wife and kids dont object. I like to keep extra around so I have the opertunity to sell some if needs be.

A little too much, not quite enough. Thank goodness I've got my emergency stash in my friend's barn.

under 2 cords burned so far. its 38 tonight and the stove has small splits laoded about 1/3 full. i know i have more than 4 left but this weekend i have an ash tree to get thats been down scince summer. after reading this site and being corrupted im now on the look out for some pine . it sure would be nice to have some handy when i need a quick hot fire. pete

Just a little over 5 full cords so far.We burn 24/7 with DHW.Got 11-12 more in the shed.
Mostly white ash. EAB is bad around here. Good for me.Afriend of mine just east of here has a
Hardy H-3, hes already gone through over 15 cords! all he does is cut wood to feed that beast.

15 cords and only a hair over half way through the season!?!?!?!?!?!

BTW, I think I've gone through about 1.75, but I haven't taken an exact measurement.

This is our first year burning wood, heating a pretty tight 3000 sq ft about 90% of the time. We've burned about 2 and a half cords so far, and have about a cord left cut and split. There's plenty more deadfall to collect in the woods, so I'll have to get out there soon.

I just finished re-ducting our wood furnace (US Stove warm air furnace), and I think it will produce a lot more useful heat. It used to be connected to the main (propane) heating ducts and got its return air from outside the building envelope, but this didn't work well at all unless the blower on the propane furnace was running simultaneously, and even then didn't seem to do much more than heat up the furnace room. I put on a decent air return and ran completely separate ductwork, sealed with mastic and insulated -- we'll see if our wood consumption decreases.
