Be the first on your block to have a pallet fence....

There are a few of those 'fences' in a town about 10 minutes from me, in a little area we call cockroach corner.

I'm planning on building a shelf with them in my basement so that I can get all my scrap wood off the floor

That'd do it after all if the pallet becomes the shelving then the wood is off the floor.

i put wheels and a hitch on a pallet and now i can use my rider mower to bring the bags from the garage, right up to the house. i used hand truck wheels and it has hauled 15 bags.

........Deffy..... that's a 'handy' idea..... like to see a pic of that...... cc :)

haha, you're still picking on me since I haven't done good on our crow deal, huh? :)

I'm actually planning on using a 2x4 frame to rest/screw the pallets on. The 2x4's will be nailed into the cement on one side while the the other side will be supported by 4x4s from floor to ceiling. I plan on building two shelves from floor to ceiling like this. That alone will give me quite a bit of room in the basement and allow me to store things underneath (off season tires, etc)

I'm actually considering building a nice "big" shed from extra pallets with some exterior grade plywood to cover... :)
