To all the TurboTax users out there, I got the final download tonight for all the Federal forms, including the instructions for the BioMass tax credit. Your total amount gets put on Line 3a "Energy-efficient building property".

I even checked the instructions, and it now includes "Biomass burning" heating devices.

I e-filed the fed & state 2 days ago, and got confirmation that everything went through OK. Will be getting my Federal $$ by Feb. 5th. YIPPEE!!

darn mac, you beat me on this one.....lol

I'm still waiting for the HSA docs....

Getting ready to do my taxes this week...I do have a question though that I can't seem to find the answer for.

Can I claim the cost of the pellets I purchased this year along with the stove and venting system?

Just curious...

Thanks all...

No, fuel is not included, unless your receipt somehow says something like "stove accessory"....LOL.

timbo, don't forget...ANYTHING (besides fuel) that you used to buy/install the stove & pipe can be claimed.....hearth materials, silicone sealer, alum. furnace tape, sheet metal screws, Hi Heat paint, labor/install costs, etc.

Thanks for the info macman...I installed it myself so there goes that but I'm sure I save money doing it myself. I did have to install a hearth though and the $450 for the chimney liner, etc etc ...it will add up, I'm sure.

got my HSA docs in the mail this afternoon....soooooo I'm getting this ready for transmission....

Am I the only one that is getting an error when I click the links?

it says "The file damaged and could not be repaired"

Do I even need that file when i'm doing my taxes online? Can i just enter the numbers on the H&R Block software?

Andy, I just clicked the link, and it worked fine.....you DO have Adobe Reader on your computer, right?

But if you're doing the taxes online, the H&R software should have it all there.
