can i use a honeywell 4 wire zone valve with a TACO control module?
sorry if im not allowed to post links but i was just trying to show the products im referring to.

honeywell zone valve:
http://www.pexsupply.com/Honeywell-V8043E1012-3-4-Sweat-Zone-Valve-Connection-18-Leads-1718000-p

taco module:
http://www.pexsupply.com/Taco-ZVC403-2-3-Zone-Control-Module-3659000-p

reason i ask is because im going to run 3 zones using 2 honeywells and 1 taco 3 wire. these will connect to the module.

thanks!

The TACO ZVC will work with 4-wire zone valves. The TACO 3-wire valves share the common lead between the heat motor and the end switch. I believe the Honeywell uses a seperate pair of contacts for the end switch.

Caveat - I have a ZVC406, but only have TACO 3-wire ZVs in my system.

thanks for the quick answers...
now im a little confused as to how it runs the boiler and circulator/pump though.
do i use the main end switch to run the boiler aquastat and the extra end switch to run the main pump? are these 120V? wouldnt the auastat be 24V?

Depends (sorry). "Standard" install would have the ZV end switch wired to the ZVC zone contacts. The main end switch on the ZVC goes to the TT contacts on the boiler aquastat. If the boiler 'stat is a standard Honeywell with pump control already on it, it will turn on the pump without using the "extra" end switch on the ZVC. End switches on the ZVs are low voltage. I believe the ZVC end switch is high/low voltage, but usually only want to switch the 24V side of the relay.
