Well I might be adding myself to the pool of people buying a BK this year. BUT -- Im a little concerned over the price. I can get the Englander 13nc for almost half the cost of the princess.
So I guess what im getting at, is the princess really worth the extra money if im going to be using it as my primary heat source. I am more than willing to spend the extra money, but it better be worth it if im going to.

Thanks, Devon

Devon,

I have a friend in West Bloomfield that has a new princess insert. He paid around 2k for it last October!

He gets 8 to 12 hrs per load....he is heating a 3000sqft house to an average of 70 °F :gulp:

So if your house is 2000 sq ft or under you would be heating really really well.

With the BK you will go through less wood and get much better burn times than the 13.

Also the thermostat is a huge +

PM if you want the info on where we bought our stoves. I saved about $700 from this dealer. The dealers around us are a total rip off.

What city are you in?
Cheers Hiram

The more expensive Blaze King would be better in the long run imo. If your a serious 24/7 burner either stove will pay for itself, may just take a little longer with the BK.

Hiram -- PM sent
My house is 1300 sq ft but laid out horribly for wood heat.
Im looking for those burn times. I can keep the house at 67 with my little century wood stove (as long as I feed it 2-3 splits every 3 hours).

I dont think u can go wrong getting a bk. I only load twice a day with the princess. Ive got the freestanding so might be a little different with the insert. My house does not go below 65 even when its in the low teens out. Its just a remarkable stove

I have owned and burned a lot of woodstoves. Nothing comes close to my BK Princess. So, so glad I bought it.
