Are you Mid-Atlantic folks enjoying the pounding? God, I wish we were getting some of that up here, I hate winter without snow! Stay safe down there.

So far so good here. I'm sitting here giving my shovel the evil eye.

We have a small break at the moment but soon the system will close in on us again. Winds are crankin'

freaking global warming... whoulda thought the ALMIGHTY NORTHEAST would get left out of winter and maryland, lower ny, nj , virginia and north carolina would get more snow than US!!!!!!!

24"+ on the ground here and 15hrs of plowin, and it was still gettin ahead of us. Called it quits till this last band of heavy snow comes through and the wind dies. Whatever ya plow it just blows right over behind ya.

22 inches here in southern Maryland. 6 more inche expected Tuesday night.

Hmmmmm.........must say, I'm enjoying the light snow year in NH - usually battered with snow - can't say I miss the shovel all that much. Still ~ 8" on the ground, so looks like winter, minus the extra work! Of course, I don't ski, snowmobile, etc., so - all I can say is - KEEP IT SOUTH! Added plus = able to c/s/s in relative ease. Hope you mid-Atlanticers do all right! Cheers!

Wasn't too bad, got about 16 inches and all my wood outside is covered and now another foot is forecast for tomorrow nite :-O holy cow, I will be left with hand carrying wood a far distance out of a shed rather than using a wheelbarrow from my covered outdoor racks :-(

Yep, another 12"+ headed our way tomorrow into wed. Just got done bringin in another 3-4 days worth of wood and clearin the snow off the wood where the metal roofing blew off. I had 4 huge 1/4 rounds on top of that sucker and the wind blew it a good 50ft!

we are supposed to get 6-10>>>>>>>>>> yeah right believe it when i see it!
we were supposed to get 12 inches on another storm and we got a dusting if that ! you people down south of us are gonna get another 12 and it will weaken and miss us -strengthen and pound maine we NEVER get the big one! 18 inhes or less is nice for us but outside of slowing traffic wont bother us... but if we could get 30" tht would be something to talk about!

I think the big storm - shell shocked the forecasters, so they are going to over state every little possible snow storm until the effect wears off. They are calling for 6-9 for me, I say NO WAY. Never see it, might get a dusting - that's it.

I have been hearing conflicting reports for our area, We could get a flurry or alot depending who you listen to. Just brought in a couple days worth of wood and filled the ATV trailer with a couple more days worth and covered it. That last snow/rain storm we got really made fire wood soggy!

+ 5
But we just got 4 " in 2 days so it helped, dry powder, so next windy day it'll be gone though.

Well after our 22 inches Saturday, Accuweather said 5 more as of yesterday, 7.6 as of today and the NWS says 12-20. Accuweather was low on the last one too! Only got the Bobcat stuck once yesterday trying to clear some more area on my farm. At least the skiing was good on Sunday, but the driving was like 100 miles on a dirt road.

Glad I built the woodshed this summer. 40 inches of snow and tarps would not be so good. The wood shed is 36x9x7 feet. The pic was taken after the 1st snow storm. There is another foot or so of snow on top now.
