Took delivery this morning of 2 pallets (150 bags) of LGs. $5/bag, a great price for this area. However, for the first time, I had to pay a delivery fee ($25). Next nearest price was $5.50, and some places are asking for $6.80/bag :bug:

In total, I have a bit over 5 tons, enough to finish off this season and (hopefully) all of next season.

Everyone else set for next season?

Cheers

Kenny

Talk in this area (n/e Ohio) is of $200 a less per ton for summer prices this year.

I just bought 2 tons of Somersets from Menards for $198.50 a ton plus 10% off for putting it on my big card. I figure I will have 3 tons of my Uncle Jeds left over from this years stock which leaves me in good shape for next heating season. :cheese:
I bought a few bags of the Somersets to try and they burn just as hot as the Uncle Jeds about the same ash which is very low.

I always get sooooo jealous of my American friends with the low prices. Unfortunately it would be impossible for me to get the pellets from the USA (transport costs).

It will be interesting to see where the prices end up by fall.

Cheers

still waiting for the price to come down. right now the best I have seen is 249/ton. every month they are droping. last year I took a gamble with the price and baught early (like now), figering the price would go up and lost on that deal. I will start to buy end of march- April.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Cheapest so far is Corinth for $235/ton you pick up or $250/ton delivered.

Prices are going in the right direction!
1st year-----$314 delivered Athens
2nd year----$274 delivered NEWP
right now $250 delivered Corinth

I have plenty to get me through this season so I plan to wait it out for a while before restocking.
Not seeing any good deals yet like the CT boys are finding.

I have noticed the demand for specific brands around my local area are keeping their prices high.
In some cases, I have actually seen the price of a couple of brands go up within the last month.

Of course I'm all set for next year, I'm a pig. If prices get real good this year I'll load up again, but if they don't I can wait till the next.

I'll have a ton or so left of Spruce Pointe's... I'll probably pick up 3 or so throughout the year. $4.66 bag.
