Well I'm getting the hang of my 30-NC.

I cut some dead birch down a week or two ago. Split most of it. It actually burns pretty well.

Been tossing in a couple of big rounds (6-9") in the stove and they burn plenty hot for and for quite a while.
It hasnt been very cold though 25-38 and the house is staying 70ish. Which is fine for us. We still need to insulate the attic.
It has zero, im sure the house will be warmer after that.

I tossed these in at 11:20, the stove was at ~300 in 20 minutes it was at 600.
This pic was right when I put them in.

I still think I may need to sleeve my chimney.

Are those the door hinge pins that came in that stove?

Can't be, they look like something you'd pull off a tractor.

i just had to get on here & post my next door neighbor is having her 60 year old oak cut down

Cant get anything by you guys.

Yeah they got lost somehow during the transport of the stove. The tractor pins fit perfectly with no play. I should cut them to length though.

Damn, I'm good.

You could call England's Stove Works and they would probably send you new door pins. They seem to have great customer service. Shouldn't be much of a hassle.

my door pins didn't seem removable

Thats probably why mine are lost. I didnt think they came out. I took the door off and carried it around and put it inside the truck cab. Lost the pins in the process it seems.

Gosh nojo, that sounds like something I would do!

they ended up cutting the whole tree to size for $65
i wish i had a camera to show
no all i need is a splitter
wait till the wife sees that in the driveway......
