Our little snow storm was just too much for some tree branch somewhere and with a great flash off in the distance, we lost power. Not knowing how long it would be out, I went and fired up the motorhome's genny and plugged it into my transfer switch. There was a click and all the lights came on in the house. My pellet stove didn't even go out, just hit the start button and off it went. The wife and I are sitting here, watching the Olympics, nice and toasty...the only house for miles all lit up.
The blower motor is a little louder than normal but I expected that while using the generator. My meter says I have 116 volts so all is good. You can't even hear the generator from 30 feet away.
I love it when a plan comes together!
