Like the "old fashion" stove look, so looking a little more at the XXV instead of the P43 I was orginally considering. How does a price of $4100 for the stove, ton of pellets, heart pad, installation and venting sound? Another shop has the stove for alone for $3600 but then the piping and everything else adds up to approx another grand. Those with this stove, any regrets? Pros/cons?
Thanks for your time.

I don't personally have that stove, but it seems like a decent price for whats included. Have you looked at he quad mt vernon? old fashion cast look and multifuel.
where are ya located? who's ur dealer?

I've got an XXV and I really like it. It does have a great look, the P series just didnt do it for me when it came to looks. I got my Harman for around $3750 including all pipes and install (i did it myself). The price of $4100 is actually a really good deal, plus you can deduct 30% of that cost in your 2010 taxes, given, you have not already utilized the energy credit.

It's a great stove and looks great too. The mirrored glass is a nice touch.

I'm next door on the other side of Pulaski (pittsfield)
I've had good luck with ESES but people either love em or hate em.
gotta say they got some damn good gimmicks tho.

Sounds like a good deal! We just paid $3,450 for a XXV (built 01/10), plus installation & piping. Haven't received the bill yet, but expect it'll be in the $4,200 area. We got a free ton of pellets also. We installed our own hearth pad (used 2 2'x3'x2" pieces of granite to make a 3'x4' hearth pad - cost about $160-180 - put some metal down under the "seam"). So for $4,100 all said & done, I'd say go for it!

We have 2 XXV stoves (one is chain drive auger, the other is the newer direct drive). We looked at the Mt. Vernon but couldn't get past the frequent shut downs for auto-cleaning. Just seems inefficient to us.

We really enjoy our stoves and while we've had issues with the chain drive stove, now that the auger tube has been replaced with the new burn pot & some adjustments to the auger setup the old stove is running as good as the new one. Overall, we've been happy with this stove. Other than the auger issue on the older stove, we haven't had any issues except normal cleaning/maintenance. I can't really think of any cons. Make sure you're working with a good dealer that supports the stoves they sell.

Enjoy your new stove!!!

the look is why i bought my used invincible
looks like a stove, all cast iron
very simple construction to repair if something goes wrong
2 motors, one sensor and circuit board
even I can diagnose and fix
runs flawlessly
I am very happy with it

I am on the 4th winter with my XXV and don't regret it for a minute.

That sounds like a decent deal, but be sure to ask the dealer about servicing the stove
after the sale if you need him/her. This is the only thing I do not like about Harman
is if something goes wrong, you are at the mercy of the dealer that sold it to you.
If that dealer does not back up the product, it can be difficult and expensive to get
things fixed.

I have an XXV and really like it, and the look. I had problems with the first one but the dealer finally swapped it out for a new one and it has run flawless. Only thing I had changed out was the burnpot for the updated one, however I am sure yours will already have the update. If you are buying from ESES in Dale, they will take good care of you after the sale.........................
