Try Toyota's and Okies.

We have a 2009 Toyota, so far anyways, they are telling us our gas pedal doesn't need replacing.

Bet that's confidence inspiring.

I wont rant too much about all this gas pedal stuff, but I have yet so see very many of these recalls that amount to much.

A friend has a YOTA that was cought up in that recall. He brought it over and we did some work on the thing to make it safe.

The factory fix was a JOKE.

Removed the pedal/linkage and such and revamped thing so it can't stick.

Bigg issue is this. What do you do if the throttle jams open ????? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

TURN THE KEY OFF. The engine will die and you can steer the thing to the side of the road.

I remember back in the late 60's early 70's when GM had a motor mount issue and the mounts would break and then the engine would rock over under torque and pull the throttle WIDE OPEN

Many an old Impala was seen galloping around with the tires screaming and some poor soul desperately mashing the brakes trying to vanquish the roaring beast.

OMG, just turn off the key and issue is over.

I am not impressed with any of the manufactures anymore. After the sales pitch and your name is on the sales order they dont know you.

I will not go into a long winded RANT about the quality of stuff today and the overzelous use of electronics to control everything.

Way too much high tech widgits are being installed in places that do not need them.

OLD SAYING "The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it becomes to stop up the drain"

I drive older rigs that are as free of electronics as possible and burn old pellet stoves that dont have touch pad controls.

The computer chip belongs in the device I am using to post at this board with, not in my stove, thank you.

For Gawds sake dont ever let the chip guys talk to the toilet makers. :bug:

Actually, dropping it into neutral may be better then turning off the engine, then turn it off when stopped. (worked for me once in the '70s). I was with a guy once that was turning his key off when the Malibu racer over heated. He turned the key too far and the steering locked. BAM! Into the hillside we went. As for the toilets, too late, check out some of the Japanese models.

we make them dar pellets for reactors, made with alumina and carbon and a bit of binder, cold pressed then fired in our furnace at 3k then sold at a very high profit rate.
