well after a few months of nothing but trouble from my usstove 6300 furnace usstove is buying it back. i need some advice on a new furnace. i had alot of soot issues with usstove what a pain in the butttttttt anyway not sure who to go with so any advice is appreciated thanks

I have been keeping an eye out for one as well. I am assuming you are looking for a forced air furnace. So far the better bang for the buck looks like the St. Croix revolution. Harman has the PF 100 but its pricey and is an absolute fuel hog from what I gather, Same for the US Stove versions. The harman's are having some igniter issues also. The Endurance 50F has had some issue's as seen at the iburncorn site. MagnuM 6500 seemed decent but lacks an igniter.

We have a member here that has had his Revolution for a few seasons and seems to be going well for him. his member name is "hossthehermit". I would send him a pm and see what he has to say. You can read a comment he wrote about the revo here:

Also can you give us some more details with the issues that the US Stove furnace had. Maybe a venting issue and this could transfer to the next furnace if not addressed. Please give the vent setup details.

Keep us posted.

More than happy to help with what I can on the Revolution, Another good resource is the iburncorn.com site. Mostly (as you might guess) a cornburners group, but a lot mix pellets depending on price and availability. Also a section there broken out by manufacturer, several of us there with Revolutions. Pretty hard to get TOO MUCH information.

Good luck - Hoss

i frequent the i burn corn site as well as this one and have learned about most of the problems usstove has had through that site. i was not alone alot of others have had the same issue i had and from what i understand is usstove is stopping production of that furnace due to all the issues it has been having. install is very good no issues there just looking something with a good reputation

Don't mean to highjack your thread but I have been trying to get logged on to IBURNCORN for a week and cant get a response to my registration. Is there a special handshake to get in?

no just sign up they will send u a link to verify registration and ur ready the link they send may take a day or 2

Have you tried the [Search Forums] box at the top left of this web page for each stove you have in mind? There is some really good information in those old threads. There is a lot of information there that may never be mentioned in this thread. iburncorn also has a search function.
