Does anyone know if appling county changed their pellets ? A dealer here on long island said they did and are much better . I tried them once (about a weeks worth) and didn't like them. They are plentiful here and a decent price

thanks , Bill

Of course he's going to tell you that.....he wants to sell them. You found out the truth when you burned them.....a bottom of the barrel pellet. And if they weren't a "decent" price, nobody would buy them.

I agree with the crew, they are the worst quality I ever burned. If you are looking for ash this is your pellet. :p

Why would you spend $260 per ton plus delivery on ACP? When you can get Barefoots for $280 per ton with FREE delivery. You invested a lot of money in your stove and the extra few dollars spent on pellets you'll learn that it's worth the extra buck. ACP do not have a good reputation here on the forum and for most members who have commented on ACPs they don't burn well in any stove. I actually had to use a degreaser to clean my stove after burning two bags of ACPs. Can we say additives?

All I know about them is I put a half ton through my stove last year and they were the absolute worst junk I've ever burned. Never, ever again.

medreach, I thought my post might get a rise out of you. I had no intention of buying ACP . I' m just always looking and asking what's available around here The other day I got a dealer on the phone not knowing what he sold and when he heard my reaction to ACP , he started in with the different pellet stuff. I will definitely be going with your recomendation once my shed is clear. consider myself scolded! geez, you guys are sensitive. LOL

worst pellets we have ever burned at the shop... even worse than the Maine Woods first year production of pellets.... now that is a pellet company that is making a better pellet.

I have 5 bags of these pellets and I find all the criticism to be accurate. The question is what to do with them? Has anyone had luck mixing with a better brand or is that a bad idea?

Sure can mix them with good ones! Start with 50/50 mix good to bad. See what you get. If it still is too much then slim it down with less bad until its suitable mix for your stove.

Thanks Jay. I see you're in NW CT. I'm looking for some more barefoots- anyone up there near you got 'em?
