How easy or hard is it for you to latch your door when you close it? Should it be where you really have to put some muscle into it or should it be an easy turn (with some resistance) when closing the door? Thanks..... Greg

Hard to answer....there are all different types, of latches. What stove are you talking about?

(Hint: If you put it in your signature line, we'll always know and won't have to ask again)

I have been meaning to do that, Thanks for the reminder....

Latch resistance is really moot. So long as the gasketing passes the dollar bill test, the latch is tight enough. My 6039 appeared a little on the loose side so I wacked it with a brass hammer to provide a little more latch resistance. It passed the dollar bill test before and after. It was a peace of mind thing.
