This is my third season putting together a pellet buy in Central RI, and it's that time of the year again to get the planning started. The brand we're going with is Barefoot and we're looking at $245/ton at the moment. If you're interested send me a PM and I can give you more detail.

We're trying to get the price lower, but finding a trucker that's willing to work is turning out to be tougher than expected. If anyone knows of a trucker that would like to make some money please let me know.

Rick

We have it down to $235/ton, and are trying to get it even lower. The outlook doesn't look promising to get them any cheaper, but we've got to try.

Oil price's creeping up again! May effect the pellet prices? I hope not!

hey rick, good to see ya once in a while here.

I was wondering if we could do the same around here. If we were close I'd jump on the boat for 4 tons, but I want to pay cheaper for the barefoots, I think that's what BT will set the price for this good brand.

I also want to see the Okanagan around $225.

I try to visit the site a couple times a week, but have found that there are many more people here on the forum to answer questions. I'm always lurking ;-)

I would like to pay less to, but as I'm finding out trucking is what makes it so expensive. The truckers would have to dead head because there's nothing leaving RI for PA. I'm also concerned about diesel prices going up. When that happens the pellets will cost even more.

It's just a matter of time until the cost of diesel affects the price of pellets. I would like to order them in the next 3 to 4 weeks for that reason.

Okies delivered to the dealer cost more than that!

The only way it could be less is if I had my own truck and trailer, and even then I'm not sure how much cheaper it could be.

If you live in a cold winter climate, you have probably heard that pellet stoves are in high demand this year. If you decided to make the change to pellet stove heating, then you'll need to know a bit about making wise wood pellet purchases. This article will help you avoid overpaying or buying substandard pellets.

Please go away Harris, we do not need nor want any spammers, scammers or sleezeballs here.

Barefoots are NO WAY sub standard pellets! Cream of the crop baby. Been one of the best year after year. $235 a darn good price for them too! rap69ri I wish the drop point was closer but the distance is to far for me to haul them.Sweat deal for the other's though! Glad you are helping the fellow pellet heads and good choice on the brand too!

Harris where is this article you speak of?
