was in lowes in plainville mass last weekend and they had green team @ $249 per ton.went back to get a ton( to be split with a bubby) and they were at their regular price of $269 per ton.i figured i had nothing to lose by asking to speak to a manager but olmost crapped my pants when he said they had just raised the price to $299 per ton.for green team, what a joke.
oakies at $270
barefoot at $270
dragons for $295
green team at $299 (i think not)

Greene Team have been great shoulder month pellets for me, but nothing more than that. With your other choices, dont walk, run from that deal, they can keep em.

WOW, the prices should be going down not up.

Do they know something we don't know?.......Like a lot more winter to go? :wow:

at my local Lowes they want $298/ton ..for ANY KINDA PELLET??...they are now sold out of Potomac,Penningtons and I think I got the last 10 bags of Green Teams they had sunday morning.

I called Lowes in Brunswick Maine and they told me that the Green Team pellets were 5.98 a bag weather I bought a ton or a bag talk about a joke.especially when I got a price of 260 a ton for Barefoot an hour before..

I agree, last year Greene Teams were great for me, this year they are no better than a shoulder season pellet. Luckily I only bought 25 bags to help fill out the season.

I bought 1/2 ton about a month ago for 5.00 a bag to get me through the rest of this season. Just scored a 10% off coupon and was planning to go tomorrow and buy a ton to put toward the next season.... BUT not at 5.99/bag..... Have used the Green Team for the last three years and happy with the pellets in my two Quad Castilles...

Will post the price if it is different than the 5.99 others have seen...

I've been watching the Pellet quantity at my local Lowes on Long Island for a month or so.. The same 20 pallets give or take a few have been on there shelves (mostly Pennington). Price $297. I spoke to the manager, and he admitted that they have not been moving, but he had not heard anything about the price dropping. He said to check back in a few weeks. Pretty soon they are going to be getting in the way of spring/summer supplies.

bought a ton 2 weeks ago for $269(the day before they jumped to $300)because I liked the 6 bags I tried last year.I was very disappointed(lots of ash),I wish I had kicked in another $30 & got more oakies! As many times as I have read on here"try before you buy"I still took a chance and lost-NEVER AGAIN!

I about to finish burning two tons of Greene Teams and they have worked fantastically well. I believe I bought them in Sept. of last year. I am not sure if the quality has changed but two weeks ago Lowes had them for $250/ton and now they are up to $299/ton. Not currently worth it when many other quality brands are below this cost but all in all, it was a really good pellet for my Breckwell p23i.

Yep, same story here in the Hudson Valley of NY...$299/ton for the Green Team at Lowes......they can keep them.

No more pellets at my local Lowes or Home Depot. They put what was left into storage and said they were no longer for sale till next season.

Lowes in Newington Ct had about a half ton of Somerset's for $5.95 a bag
