25 bags here out of 3.5 tons.
Getting ready to order for next year.
$240/ton delivered right now and shows signs of dropping further.
lessoil,
where you getting pellets ? Been seeing a price increase here the last few weeks ,
moving the pellets for those pesky lawnmowers ! 15 bags left.

Here is the dealer that I have been talking to.
He is in the old Bass Shoe shop.
He thought he might even break under $200 before Fall

He sells Corinth $222 you pick up($240 delivered); Athens $217 YPU($240 delivered) and Oakies not sure of the price but they are higher.
I plan on buying Corinth and Athens for next year.

75 bags of the good Lignetics. Two bags of Oakies.

lessoil I am curious about the OKIE'S price. I am still burning my Maine Choice pellets and was satisfied with them for the $249 per ton price in Aug/Sept 2009. I did try some OKIES and Barefoot and if they could be had for a good price I would certainly buy them, although Dixfield would be a long haul. By the way if anybody is interested on the local Maine news this morning is was reported that Geneva Wood Pellets hopes to be producing pellets by the summer.

Currently they were in the news for being fined for the explosion " An Augusta pellet mill faces $27,000 in fines for allegedly violating workplace safety standards. Geneva wood fuels has been issued six citations after and explosion at the plant last August. No one was injured in the blast. But, OSHA says it has concerns about the handling of wood dust and have issued citations for unapproved lifting devices, missing safety signs, and guardrails. Geneva wood fuels had 15 days to comply, discuss or appeal the findings"

11 bags left

I'll scramble around at lunch tomorrow and see if I can't scroung up 20 more bags to close out the year.
20 bags of somehting good that is.

2 bags left. Just going to buy by the bag and test a few brands for the remainder of the season. Really only burning at night now, and it supposed to be warm starting Wednesday or so. Almost over for this season I guess.

62 bags left out of 4 tons. I guess I'll have about 25 bags left after mid April and will use them first in the fall. I plan on getting 4 tons for next year, which should leave me with a good cushion.

Already used up my 2 tons for the year.

I've used 6 bags out of the 3 tons appropriated for Winter 2010-2011.

I'll buy 10 this weekend to round it out.

Just started the last ton. Ran thru 3 tons so far. Got 2 tons of Vt Wood Pellets coming tomorrow. $259 delivered into my garage.

I'd rather burn those for the rest of the season. But first in, first out would probably be smarter.

272 bags in the shed

Started the season with 170 bags of Green Team and still have around a ton left. Had foam insulation applied under the house (over a rubble foundation with a dirt floor) and jacked the insulation in the attic to R-38. Done wicked good! My entire stock of 175 bags was gone at seasons end. Going to try out some Barefoot (though it's gonna be 65-70 here over the weekend)

Need to free up the two pallet (3 ton) footprint of pellets in the garage over the off season. Need to build an outdoor pellet shed pronto! On piers or that thing will look like the tower of Pisa in the next monsoon up here!

150 Barefoot (Just delivered)

Pellet Pig wannabe

Have you burned any Barefoot? I have an opportunity to participate in a group buy and will have a couple of bags tomorrow to test.... of course, it is going to be in the high sixties all weekend (nice problem to have!)

Auggie

I just went and bought 4 bags of Barefoots to try. Also got 4 bags of Wood Pellets Co. Guy says they are a very good pellet and cheaper. Yeah, right. But I will try one bag, if I don't like them, the other 3 will go back for 3 more Barefoots.

Darn shame it is 68 here right now!! But it will cool down tonight. Stove is cleaned and loaded with BF's ready to go when it gets cool enough.

I have had my pellet stove for 5 or so months. After finding this forum and reading the test data I decided to try 5 or more brands of pellets.

I found the Barefoots to burn MUCH hotter and cleaner than the rest.

I paid $264 per ton for the Barefoots (sale price) plus delivery fee. I would still pay full price if I had to in order to burn these pellets. I think this is saying something as I can get otner pellets (ACP) fo $199 per ton.

I got 23 bags left. glade it it warming up. getting tired of heating the house for the last 7 months.

Sounds like magsf11 has a bit of spring fever! Even though we put up the stoves. Our task is never complete. Nice weather is the time to score the good pellet deals. Weather it be leftover stock or the spring buy's. We always have to be on the lookout!

Once I fire up the outside grill and eat a wood fire meal. I am ready for the hunt!(pellets that is!)

Yahoo spring is here!

Down to my last 15 bags. Started out with 3 tons. I learned a lesson this past season. The place I purchased my stove from has been my pellet supplier and sells pellets sight unseen. He never gets the same brand twice. Ended up with 1.5 tons of inferno pellets. Absolute garbage. Couldn't wait to get rid of them. I did burn them, and man do they make ash. Most other pellets I have burnt I'd only have to clean the stove once a week. Inferno's required two to three cleanings. I guess we have to learn from our mistakes. This site has been a wealth of information. Many thanks to all the contributors. I will be looking for some different pellets for next year.

Just brought 30 bags from the garage to the basement (it's 1C and snowing here). Have about 4-5 tons left - next years heat.

Don't have an exact count, but I think I've got around 35 bags. Started using in late November once the stove install got finished, and had 2 pallets full for the year. I expect to still have 10 or 15 bags left once it really gets too warm to run the stove. I just finished getting a thermostat working (as some may have seen in another thread) so I expect to only use a bag every 4 or 5 days.

80 bags left, this time I am ready for a cold May (hope it doesn't happen). Probably signing off till fall, time to work on the jeep, and get ready for this years wheelin, and hang out on the jeep forum. Hope everyone has a safe and fun spring/summer.
