like i said i just got my light bill.... Last month( before i got my corn stove) it was 349.00 this month it was 139.00! thats more like it! and guess what ? im warm! we used to keep our thermostat set at 66-68 now we love the fact that on the lowest setting the 6041 keeps the house a toasty 76-78. so pleased with the stove , even more pleased with the heat and the drop in light bill! thanks fellers for all the help in guiding me!

My heating bill went from $350/month in Jan/Feb to about $700.00 per season... and we went form 65F to 75F... toasty!

Glad your enjoying your stove and the heat. We just ordered propane for the first time since last March a year ago. We only used the minimum (200 gals) in a years time since we only use propane now for hot water. And our house is a lot warmer now than with propane.

Dumped the heat pump, our average electric cost during the winter months...75 bucks! Avg house temp ~72, nuff said

We heat with heating oil here in Maine for the most part if it's not wood. Electricity is 20 cents a kilowatt hour, so electric heat is way expensive, and it can get way cold.
I used to use 700 gallons of oil a year at 2.60 to 3.00 or more at times. Not uncommon to spend 1800-2200 in heating cost. With my Rika, I went through 32 gallons of oil
and 3.5 tons of pellets. So it cost me 1000. or so to heat the house this year. I figure 800 a year in savings and I also am toasty regardless of the temp outside. Stove was a
great purchase.

Hey Preacher,

We just moved into a 2100 sq. ft. ranch with an electric furnace. I bought my 6041 on clearance at TSC even before we found the house; it's been stored in my van. I finished the install on Monday just as the furnace blower quit working. Fired up the stove using Somerset pellets and had a toasty evening. When I got up yesterday, the house was 70 with the stove set at Pl 1 (43 outside). I LOVE it.

Furnace guy says it's a relay so he hot wired the blower until he comes back with the new part. With the blower running, the stove is heating the entire house. Last house (rental) was propane and the last quote I got from those robbers was $3.77 gal. I love being able to afford being warm.

Light Bill?! Now there's an old tern! Kinda like Divan, Sofa, Icebox, and Dungarees!

Good grief, I was just sitting here complaining to my wife about the increase in our rates... It went from $.07 to $.08 and my bill was another $20.00 dollars more, think after hearing your rates I'll hush and turn on another light or two!!!
