"If you want to catch me? You have to burn all these!" Maybe next year I'm just trying to figure out what to buy for my first year as a pellet burner I don't want to make the mistake of buying all my pellets at home cheepo and not getting the full potential from my stove next winter. That"s why I searched the Internet to learn all I can and how I found you guys

I am just funning with ya! But I do hold the current record of most pellet brands burned in a season. :) If you attempt the record you have to show proof and share the results with the fellow members here. Collect the ash and weight it. Measure heat and chart the results so we can follow. Its not a gimme by any means. Have you checked my testing threads?

I almost forgot Tree Cycle and Vermont Wood Pellet co.

There are many many brands out there to try. You have to get whats local. Travelling defeats the purpose of trying to save money. I would test what you can afford and go from there. But you have some good ones at hand to start with.

The better Bigbox brands I tried are Marth, Greenway, Somerset, and AWF. along with the GreenTeams you have.

Pellet house brands I liked are Cubex, Hamer, Turman, Okies, Barefoots, Spruce Pointes, DryCreek,Juniata,Wood Pellet Co., Northern, ProPellets, Vermont Wood Pellet co. And I can't forget the Lignetics even with there fiber issues there still a good pellet. None of these are in any order per say.

Keep us posted on what you liked out of your trials!
have fun with it.

I just burned 4 tons of LGs and loved 'em! Unfortunately, the local dealer says he won't be getting them again this year - go figure. I also liked the New England Wood Pellets that I burned two seasons ago (and couldn't get last season). I just finished throwing a ton of VT Wood Pellets down cellar, hoping to try 'em before the season ends - but with the forecast of gawdawful hot the rest of this week, I may be looking for a pellet-fired air conditioner instead!

I agree with you on the Maine Woods Pellets - I got half a ton left, won't EVER get any more when they're gone. WAY too much ash!
