fired up the englander last night around 9pm after pouring a full bag of Cubex, this morning I checked the stove and the glass looks MUCH MORE cleaner than with any other pellet brand. Even the Okanagan makes the glass so dirty but the Cubex just a light glaze.

I burned a bag of okies couple days ago and was surprised of how dirty the glass was after about 6 or 7 hours of burning.

The burn pot was very clean so of speak, stove was running on 2-4 all night.
These Cubex have a very nice smell when you open the bag....ahhhhhhh

I hope the whole batch is consistent for next season.

Exact opposite experience for my Harmen Accentra...
I think Cubex are the best smelling pellets...and probably the best hardwood pellets out there.
The softwoods burn better and cleaner...IMHO.
Now BTU where is my check?

The glass on our Lopi Leyden gets dirty no matter what brand we burn, but . . . .

The hardwood pellets tend to leave a hard reddish brown residue, especially at the top of the glass, that is hard to remove.

The softwoods leave a more grayish residue that mostly vacuums off.

I use Rutland conditioning glass cleaner and clean the glass daily.

If anyone has ideas to minimize the dirty glass issue, other than "GET OVER IT" :) , sure would like to hear them.

Try disconnecting the OAK for the sake of experiment.

I remember HEMI stating his Harman P43 doesn't need daily cleaning, as a matter of fact he cleans it weekly I think but it can go longer.

Wonder if other P43 owners have same experience overall.

My Englander: no matter what brand, soft/hard pellet it needs cleaning DAILY.
My Santa Fe: glass stays fairly clean for a few days and starts developing a little bit of ash/dirty accumulation in the upper 2 corners.

All in all the Cubex is a great pellet so far.

Seeing we have still been a bit cooler. I had a chance to try both my Cubex and Hamers!

Both burned awesome! Going to be very warm next year! I'm very pleased with both brands! :) I will try some more Okies tomorrow, Suposed to be cooler and rainy all day(yuk)!

yeah, turned on the stoves again...!!!!!
