Is it stainless or aluminum? If its stainless it could likely be the same interlock flex we use at work. It's used in diesel exhaust applications. We get really good pricing on it and pay about $17/ft. + freight.
I thought about the diesel exhaust pipe, but figured that would too expensive for someone to leave behind. If it is, that is worth a bundle to the right party.

...hopefully it doesn't rial up Kenny C It's stainless if it was aluminum it wouldn't have been tied down it would be compressed and most likely loose.

It looks like Homesaver 304 roundflexx to me. You might get 2-300 out of it. We used that stuff for a long time, but you can buy the lighter stainless kits much cheaper now.
thanks for your thoughts everyone. Element is right, it is steel (according to my magnets) and pretty heavy. SSpence, a 4"x25' piece of the stuff you mention (if this is it) goes for $750-850 http://www.elitedeals.com/cpf-22104.html
