...........on pellets in Pittsfield Ma. It might not begin to match those super bargains some of you guys get in other locations but it`s the lowest for me since I been burning 3 seasons now.
OK, from rk Miles (building mat`l supplier) 20 miles away , delivered and placed in my drive way this month $259 per ton. Sure as hell beats LP Adams lumber yard 3 miles away at $315 per ton.
" Lignetics" premium is the brand.
Actually I tried 2 bags from a local hardware store 2 months ago and wasn`t impressed with the ash content but I`ve learned pellet consistancy can be a crap shoot from one year to the next. My Harman and Englander don`t seem to have any problem burning whatever I dump in em.

Congrats Gio.....glad to hear you finally are getting some decently priced pellets.

On that same note, I just confirmed that I'm getting 2 tons of BareFoots at $250/ton including delivery and placement where I want this coming Friday. I have to agree with what Gio said....WOO HOO!!

There's also a VERY good possibility that these will be coming right off a truck that drove directly from the BareFoot plant Friday morning, so these pellets should be fresh!! They're going right into the cellar next to the Premier hardwoods and Rockies.

It will be SOOOO nice not having to think about pellets until October. :)

I recently saw pellets under $200 per ton here in Wis. but that was a little far from where I live, so not really worth checking out. The brands being sold were also at the lower end of the scale. Hopefully the price for decent pellets that can be bought within a few miles of my house will also come down.

I have ProPellets at $205 per ton plus tax and I am sad to say not the cheapest in the area. A retailer with AWF from just south of Erie, PA has a radio ad for $189.00. AWF pellets are stored outside at their mill.

Stop! Enough of that. I`m in tears already.

Another example of what a joy it is to live on the east coast......and inexpensive too! >:-(

Update on the Barefoot delivery: The seller will be here between 4:30-6 PM tomorrow....I asked him to make me the last delivery of the day so I'll be home when he gets here and I can get the pallets placed right where I want them.

Interesting addendum to this....this dealer is delivering 24 tons to a private residence about 7 miles from me.....I wonder if I'll be seeing more pellets for sale on CraigsList soon?? I guess I may have to take a little drive over there Sat. and see who got them.....shouldn't be too hard, as there's only 5 houses on the street.

Well, the BareFoots are (almost) in da house! They were delivered today right when promised, placed where I wanted them. Gonna rain tomorrow morning, so I covered them, but plan to get them inside ASAP.
