Is there an adapter for Dura Vent and Ameri Tech 6" dual wall pipe?

I have a few pieces of each pipe, but they do not lock together. The Dura Vent is 8" OD and Ameri tech is 9" OD. If I could, i'd like to use all of what i have and secure them together nicely. Any ideas?

You should never mix and match different brands or styles of pipe, even if they do fit together. The pipe is tested and listed as a system.

exactly. but if you HAD to join 2 pieces of pipe that were say, 6" ID each then a male to male connector would do the trick... just don't expect it to pass a close observation by the adjuster.

So from the sound of it, I can "make it work" but my insurance adjuster would not like it.

I'd like to install it once, the right way. I'll see if I can't sell the Ameri tec and buy some more Duratech.

This is my first install from scratch. Is there a nice write up anywhere on this site? I've looked around, but maybe my search keywords are not the best.

or a 2100* chimney fire

also, a male/male adapter can leak-drip soot---inner liner must always be crimp down

Your decision to not use two different class A chimney brands is the correct one. I'm very glad you posted here before deciding to go ahead

This site is full of good, useful information. I am thankful those of you are here to lend a hand when one is needed.
I have the Ameri Tec on craigslist now, and will be looking for the simpson pipe as it comes up. Just starting to hit 90's here, so I have a bit of time to get this project finished.
Thanks again.
