The new insert has been in for more than a month now and I can report that it does a much better job than the smaller one I had in there. Easy 8 hour burns overnight mean we no longer have to restart the stove each morning. The larger firebox is great. The secondaries burn great. The two fans move the heat better. Totally happy with this stove. They had it installed in about 2 hours! I also found a good use for the old insert, boiling down some sap to make a couple litres of maple syrup.
