If they are in good shape..definitely worth it.

Can't get near that price with delivery included for quality pellets around here.
In my local area, we seem to have the highest priced pellets in the country.

I called viridis energy where they are made and thats the price they gave me for a truckload delivered to my house, Im buying these with a group of friends and trying to sway them from the tsc pellets for $204 a ton, i asked the salesperson wat brand they and he said its bagged tsc, i dont wanna take the chance, i love somersets gettin a quote from them tomorrow as well as barefoots. I will let you guys know the prices

247/ton delivered is a good price in NE. At least in this area. Now the kicker is the truckload. I have no idea if that is a good price or not. Last time I checked Hampton Falls, Okies were 265 or 269 but that was not delivered.

Maybe BTU can educate here....

Add me to the good price column. Best deal I found was @ $250/ton and I have to haul them.

Okies did very well in my stove. The good stuff IMO!

relxn88 That's a great price for Okies I'd jump on those if it wasn't so far from me!!!!

Those are some great prices almost across the board........I just paid 269 on Spruce Points.

Also the Harman sale that they have is far better than what I got last year. Including 3 pallets of Okies with a P68. Now that's a deal !!!!

Is there a dealer in southern new hampshire that sells Okanagan's?

Any luck on Somerset or Barefoot pricing?

You might check this out for pricing. He claims to have Barefoots. Just check him out well if purchasing. He has 100% pos feedback, but no returns.......

Decent price for NEWP's. I can't touch them for less than $240 in CT.

somersets price 227 a ton delivered pellets only 136 a ton freight is almost as much as pellets 2000 dollars to ship from ky to ny
trying to find a cheaper freight price anybody have any suggestions?

2K for shipping.....damn BTU is right about shipping costs.
I used to do alot of inbound shipping at my last job. Granted we had pricing contracts, but paid far less than that for full 53' load trailors(maybe 700-800). Also, that was 6 years ago and trucking costs have risen significantly. EDIT: Also the pricing is done by weight and/or full load pricing discount. We were not shipping this much weight in a full trailor load.

Last time I needed an outbound shipment on my current job, it was LTL (less than full load). I used an online quoting company. I'm pretty sure it was www.freightquote.com. They came in much cheaper than quotes I was getting by calling trucking companies myself. Try them out, it cant hurt to check.

Hopefully Tink sent you some good info as well..........

Again, maybe BTU can shed some light on this subject.

Good Luck

Geno

Wow, Sommersets for $136/ton plus shipping fees. Wish I had a mill next door and had a rig to haul for me and my pellet friends. Bet my friend list would grow rapidly!

$227 is a good price for a nice burning pellet like sommersts. In CT that would be down right stealing them!

I sent a email to barefoot to get a truckload price, being that their in pa I am assuming the freight will be much cheaper, I only hope the pellet price is somewhat near the somersets, if I can get them for under 200 a ton im gonna go for it, I have never burned them before although from what i have read in here they seem to a really good pellet, do you guys think they are as good as the somersets?

Barefoots had a little more heat but also had slightly more ash. But still less than .5% in my burn test. There very close overall and I don't think the average burner would notice the difference between the 2 brands.

I have burned them on and off for a few years now and there quality is very stable. They are the good stuff! I would have to let the price be the final factor!

Looking at the NEWP Ebay sale there are two things I would look at before buying. 1 what plant did they come from? 2 What is the lot number on the bags? The lot number is a 4 digit number in the upper left hand area of the bag. It looks like pin holes in the bag. The number is a Julian date code. If it is from Schuyler and numbered 9240-9300 I would stay clear that was the number we had returns on. Anything from 2010 starts with a 0 any thing from 2009 starts with a 9. So far I have had no complaints at all about 2010 product. Good luck and happy burning!
