Thought you all would be curious to see this. I'll re-post on a couple of other forums too.

Show Us Your Woodpile!
LYME, NEW HAMPSHIRE

Tarm USA, an importer and distributor of wood boilers, has announced the winner of its first annual "Show Us Your Woodpile" contest to benefit area (Southern Vermont) fuel assistance programs. Approximately 80 entries were received.

Grand-prize winner Mary Galt of Corinth, Vermont, was awarded an HS Tarm Solo Innova residential wood boiler valued at nearly $9,000. Her winning submission was a photograph of her woodpile in a colorful autumn setting. Three other finalists received ash vacuums and six received wood moisture meters.

The best contest photographs have been included in an artfully-designed "Wood Heat. Abundant. Renewable. Local." Poster (20 in. wide x 24 in. tall). that is being sold to benefit people who need help heating their homes this winter.

The poster is available for $10 (plus postage and handling) from Tarm USA directly, through local wood boiler dealers, or through the Alliance for Green Heat. All sale proceeds are being donated to the non-profit organization Silent Heat (Visit the Web site) that distributes seasoned cordwood and safety boxes (ash bucket, shovel, fire extinguisher, smoke detector, etc.) to persons who would otherwise be left without any source of heat for the winter.

Call Tarm USA at 1-800-782-9927 or email [email protected]; or call the Green Heat Alliance at (301) 841-7755 or Visit the Web site for information on how to purchase a poster.

Will the winners recieve a free poster or do we need to order one ?

Hey Bio,
thanks for the link to your add. I used to enjoy the info from this site but lately it's only a bunch of missleading links that send me to a vendors advertisement. You really should consider posting pics of those wood piles...............

The pictures are, in fact, at the above link. It looks like the link is broken - you need to cut and paste all the way through the word "Contest" to get to the blog post with the photos. Sorry for the confusion.

(And you may or may not need to remove an extra space along the way. Also sometimes it is necessary to substitute a three character sequence consisting of the percent-character-followed-by-the-digit-two-followed-by-the-digit-zero for each of the spaces. [Can't give an example because forum software munges it.] It's not 1997, it's hearth.com!)
