Used Stove Bright Satin Black and have to say it looks brand new. After 5 years the matte black finish faded pretty good. Wish I would of took before and after pictures but I didn't. Now I'm thinking I should paint the pipe to match?

Looks fantastic Todd. Just like new.

I'm curious about the process of painting that stove. It looks very fussy. Was this just a matter of careful masking or did you use some other tricks. Did you do it in place or outside?

I used a 1" foam brush and small artist brush for the edges. Just took my time and was real carefull on the edges, no taping or spraying.

Looks very nice, Todd. And it reminds me that our Fireview is more than 5 yrs. overdue for a "spa day".

The only reason why Todd did this is due too the fact that his new Keystone was receiving all the attention lately. He was possibly concerned that the Fireview would choke up its CAT in retaliation as he knows he has served his fire master well over the years.

Looks good Todd.

Gawldurned purdy, Todd.

Brush marks? Did the paint lay nicely? Runs? Did you need to scuff or prep the surface? How many coats? The black paint on my heritage has also faded badly in the last few years. Some paint is missing as well.

No brush marks, paint is pretty thick and drys fast, no runs. I dusted it off, wiped it down with a damp rag and 1 coat seemed to work just fine.

Todd, that must have taken a bit of patience to do that with a brush. Looks like you were well up to the task. Nice work.
