I'm thinking about getting a gauge to adjust my damper air flow.
My manual say for high heat I need to get a reading of 0.11 to 0.12 and 0.08 to 0.09 " wc for a low heat setting.
Would a range of 0 to 0.25 be good if I want to use it for other pellet stoves?

What do the pros recommend?

Thanks

Yes that one will work for you.

I bought the Dwyer 2000-00-Av with the same range and it works dandy for me!

Thought it would but never hurts to ask

You might want to read over the thread I started "Auger continues to feed after shutdown" (posted in June), where I pondered the best model gauge to get to do the draft test on a Harman XXV. Harman offers a kit with a 0 - 0.5" range gauge, yet states the high fire reading should be somewhere around -0.65" (from memory). I had one the other day around -0.80", but without a 0 - 1.0" range gauge, how would I have checked this? Even the low fire reading, which you can adjust, should be around -0.40". So I would recommend the Dwyer model 2001 0 - 1.0" range, unless there are other stoves that operate at at an even higher negative pressure?

How much was the Dwyer 2001-0-1.0?

We are using for our own stoves and not for multiple stoves. If the price is comparable I can see it. But if the larger scaled guage is much more expensive. Would it be worth spending the extra??? Just trying to justify the larger one. The guage I purchased was only $30.00 plus shipping.

Thats good info to know. I wasn't aware of what other pellet stoves pulled for a reading. The Enviro I have is 0.11" wc for high and 0.08 for low fire.
A gauge with a scale of 0-1 would make it pretty hard to read it down to 0.08 with any accuracy.
I guess that why there are service techs :cheese:

Try an electric manometer, 0-10 wc, accurate and not as sensitive as the dweyers.

not to sure of manometer prices but magnehelics are all $88 at grainger. I have 0-.25, 0-.5 and 0-2 wc, plus a manometer.

I got mine on fleabay and it was new in the package. I just couldn't pass on it. I did try the local Grainger but they didn't have in stock. Fastest way was drop ship to me with another $12.95 tacked on. Made it over to $100.00! Ouch, ouch, and ouch! I passed cause I could not swing it at the time.

I think I'll look at fleebay and see what I can pick up cheap. Don't really want to spend a lot of money for something I'll use only a couple of times.
I'll look for a 0-.25"wc

Grainger

Would somting like this one would fit the need? It's on sale.

Here is mine:

http://www.amazon.com/DT-8890-Digit...?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1281876982&sr=8-10

Thats a real nice one but a little too expensive for what I need.

I went and bought a Magahelic 0-.25" wc from ebay this week. Its just the gauge and I have to find some rubber hose and tubing to try it out.
Paid $4.99 plus 10.47 shipping.

Should get it sometime this week.

Thanks, I'll check out the hdw store once I get gauge home.
