ive been splitting wood the last two weeks, its hard to think of a fire when its 90 + outside and you are looking at three more cords too do.this year i get to fire up the olso for the first time..

Got the 1st burn in the stove tonight Soup. It had a month and a half rest... OH WELL, 3 days ago it was over 85 here. Leaves are turning and falling.

North of 60 (great username, by the way): Leaves turning just now, here in CT.. Won't be long now. Lots of folks who don't "see" the changes coming will be surprised when it hits, but we wood-burners and outdoorsie types are on the same page!!

Ah c'mon you guys . . . winter is one of the best times of the year

I will agree, I love the winter. I would take 10 degrees over 75 anyday of the week.

I do however, love fall much more. The bird hunting, deer hunting, cool crisp mornings in jeans and a hoodie. Oh yes, I sure miss fall. It will be here soon, I just hope it doesn't fly by!

That "Fall" smell . . . the colorful foliage . . . bugs are dead or dying . . . perfect temps to work outside on the wood . . . apples in season . . . yeah . . . I agree . . . another great time of year . . . heck I love all the seasons . . . well except for Black Fly Season . . . I'll even tolerate Tourist Season . . . but not Black Fly Season.

The colors, the smells, the wood burning, the apple picking trips..........yep! All That!! I also like teasing the guy at work who thinks the smell of the wood on my clothes "stinks!" I laugh when he tells me that. I wear it like a badge of honor!! (AND I get to remember by the smell, the fire waiting for me when I get home!!)
