Something new happened today.

Accentra Freestanding Unit, 2008

Cleaned the whole thing out, replaced igniter. Everything looked good. Rolled the control to test. Everything started up normal. Rolled the Control to stove temp, combustion, convection, igniter and feed all lit up on control box but no fans turned on. This happened for 20 minutes, every time I tried. Weird. No motors kicked in. Swapped out ESP. Same thing. Plugged in old ESP. Same thing. Rolled everything back to Test again. Turned the unit on again. Same thing. Unplugged unit. Plugged it back in. Same thing. Looked all around for something shorting out. Nothing. Fuse...OK. Rolled it back to test, everything works. Put it back on stove temp. It worked.

What's up? Anyone?

I think you are a little over anxious. I have the same stove, just make sure all the summer lint is cleaned off.

Do you use the diagnostic tool, that plugs into the control board? We just got one, but there were no instructions for using it. Wasted alot of time looking for a tuitorial supposedly on a website (Hearthsville) that I was directed to. We also have an Accentra (insert) job where the convection blower won't shut off, but would like to understand the tool's functions before going back. A ridiculous number of visits and part swaps (control, fuses, ignitor, esp probe) have been already done by others, and I want to handle this more competently.

*Please see my new topic on this problem, which is somewhat different than the original posters. Sorry for any confusion...

di you check the line voltage at the outlet? I've seen some funny things from that before. I've also seen the outlets connected to wall switches and that causes crazy confusion.

Sounds like the vacuum switch usually in the hopper.

Newer model, no hopper vac switch, it's inline with the air in take. AND...

The combustion motor wasn't turning on. Of coarse there would be no vacuum, what do you think causes the vacuum?

Yeah right? I once had a receptacle that was pushing 220. The electrician accidentally wired it in when doing work downstairs on a dryer. Control board survived but the switches did not. Took me hours to figure that out.
