I seriously doubt the stove was hooked up in front of the plywood, well.....I hope not anyway!

Although, That brand new plywood could be hiding the reason he is selling the stove!
 
Oh and also with the longs legs available, looks like short legs also pointing to a hearth mount.
 
I don't know any codes that pertain to disconnected stoves. :lol:
 
Liner section, chimney cap that fits on a clay tile, short legs. Looks like a totally legit install. It does appear that the liner was one of the old style installs that only went up to the first flue tile but that is still allowed in some cases.
 
Mia culpa!

I had looked it it like it was hooked up, passing through the plywood then to the oustide. Now that I tilt my head, I see that's just a liner resting against the house.
