Freezing temperatures have returned to Minnesota, and it's not even fall yet.

The National Weather Service issued a frost warning for northern Minnesota. Temperatures dropped into the low 30s across the Iron Range, Arrowhead and northwestern Wisconsin.

The calendar turns to fall on Sept. 22.

Beatcha to it bub..........lit the fire Labor Day!! (lol)

Temps here in the upper 60's and lower 70's for the next few days, with low's overnight in the high 40's to low 50's (Connecticut).

The house is so well insulated however, that I really DON'T need the wood stove yet. Labor Day was for the "frig" of it.

Where on the Range are you? My father is from Virginia and had a summer place on Vermillion.

Twin Ports Area

My folks are from Virginia , also. I lived there for a couple of years in the 70's. Played high school baseball with the Carlson's of Slapshot fame. Still have some relatives that live there.

I lived there for 4 years, beautiful area. Can get damn cold there as well, I remember waking up one morning to -40 with a -96 wind chill.

Where in the twin ports? I am just down hwy 23 in the big town of Bruno. Haven't started a fire yet this year, thought about it a few times in the last week. I finally got out in the woods last weekend and got a load of wood out. Its been so hot and buggy all summer.
