Hello,

Trying to install a thermostat on my 25 EP. I have the ADMH110 thermostat from Ace hardware. I'm seeing some conflicting info on where I should put the wires. The englander site says to put one wire on the G connector and one on the white. But I have also seen... put the wires on the W and the RH. Which one is right? Plus I was under the impression that with the t-stat on this model the stove is supposed to turn off and on but it doesn't turn off it stays at the low burn setting. Am I doing something wrong here?

W and RH

As for the Hi-Lo or On-Off, give Englander tech service a call and ask to speak to Mike Holton. It may be that the EP has the same board as mine, and it does both. I didn't know it until I spoke to Mike.

Mike got me taken care of, thanks imacman.:) I picked up a ton of marths today for 175.00/ton.

Good to hear Davey....Mike is a great guy, and having him available to us Englander stove owners is one of the main reasons I switched from the Astoria.....plus I wanted a multi-fuel stove.

BTW....does the EP do both Hi-Lo and On-Off?

That's a great price for the Marth pellets. Some people didn't care for them last winter, but both myself and Jay Takeman burned some and liked them.

Good luck, and post some burning pics when it gets colder.

Yeah, it does both high/low and on off. As far as burning, it doesn't have to be cold. I had the stove running when it was 90 degrees here. I love this thing. I'll take a few pictures.

Having access to both modes is a nice feature. I run mine on On-Off during the "shoulder" months, and switch to Hi-Lo when it gets really cold (mid december through end of Feb or so).

Mike told me to unplug the stove...then plug it back in and quickly push both the down arrows at the same time... on/off will show 0 0 in the displays and hi/lo will show H L in the display. Is that how yours works?

yep, thats how it works, will only do that with later model CPM's the EP and the PAH, we added the capability to the CPM after we set it up on the EP so some of the first CPM's would require a chip change to add that feature, anyone out there with an early CPM first thousand or so built who wish to add this feature PM me with phone number im full time in the office now so i can call you and discuss what would need to be done to add the feature

Mike, why should I bother with switching it back and forth? Running in O/O mode all the time and no problems.

I'll try answering this for mike, as I had the same question when I first got my 10-cpm.

In the fall & spring, the temps aren't too severe, and the house doesn't cool off too quickly.....therefore, the stove will not have to cycle on-off a lot. But when it gets cold, in the normal winter months, if you leave it in On-Off, it will cycle a LOT....more wear on the Ignitor.

When it gets cold and the house cools off more quickly, switching to Hi-Lo means the stove doesn't have to keep restarting a lot.....the stove simply raises the fuel feed & blower speeds until room is warm.....saves ignitor wear and keeps the temps more even.

what is the way to change it from hi/lo to on /off after hitting both down arrows on a 25-EP ?

Just repeat what was done above to switch from Hi-Lo....each time you press the down arrows, it switches mode.
