I went to a sale this past weekend and came across this.
To bad i wasn't this far ahead. I did pick up a nice saw cheap though there. It does go to show when you stack that high and wide it really affects your seasoning on the insides of those stacks.

There's a guy round the corner from me that sells wood, and has a mile high pile like that one. I would imagine the interior of his mountain looks similar to the one in your picture.
 
I live down the road from a guy that sells "campfire" wood. He has a massive stack piled up behind his shed that looks like that. 3.50 a bundle/6.00 for 2 in case anyone wanted to pick some up.
