It's fall, so I'm starting to post this again on Craigslist--I always get quite a few emails from people saying "Thanks! That was very helpful!"

Maybe others could post to their local CL substituting Oregon law for your local laws on the sale of firewood......

Happy burning!!

That's a great idea. Even if it only helps a few people per season, it's well worth it. Might help keep some wood dealers on their toes as well. ;-)

Great post Nonprophet.

Nice job, I read the whole thing and I'm in MD :)

I don't even buy firewood and I read the whole thing . . . and then wanted to go out and buy some firewood! ;) :)

Great info Nonprophet. Just a small critique (and honestly I may have missed it because I was skiming), but I didn't see anything mentioned under Quaility about unseasoned wood and creosote build up. To me this is as important if not more important because it is a safety concern. Just thought I'd through that out there, but that is truly a great service you are providing for people looking to buy wood. That should be a sticky here on the site if it is not already.

Nice PSA. You could ad this picture of 1/2 cord in a full size pickup that I copied from a Craigs List ad last year for reference.
